A RESOLUTION OF..THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
..CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AIT EXCEPTION AND.
•VARIANCE UNDER ORDINANCE N0. 342 IN FAVOR
OF.AZUSA ROCK & SAND COMPANY. ,
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS the Azusa Rock & Sand Company is.the owner of
the West half of the.West half.of Lot.48 Subdivision 2.Azusa Land
and Water Company in the City of.'Azusa, Los Angeles County, Calif-
ornia,'as per map recorded in Book 43 Page 94 of Miscellaneous
Records in the office of. -the County Recorder of said county, and
has duty f il'ed its petition for exception and variance, the.grant-
ing of .which petition has been recommended to the City Council by
the,City.Planning Commission of said city, on the land hereinafter
.defined, and.

WHEREAS said company has for years operated its plant
.and offices and kindred facilities with'the result that it is
advisable to•rehabilitate same, and
17HERF-AS said company is now desirous of relocating and
erecting on the hereinabove described property its offices, scales
and to.establish parking space, which same
are hereby found and determined are necessary.for the preservation
and enjoyment of the substantial property rights of petitioner and
are not materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious
to the property or improvements in the zone -or district in which
the.property in question lies or injurious to the property or
improvements in other zones. -or districts;
NOW THEREFORE BE.IT.RESOLVED that an exception and
variance be and the same is hereby ordered and made so as to permit
the locating; erection, use; operation and maintenance of.office
buildings, scales 1 19, and the establishment of
parking space on and in the following portion of said hereinbefore
describedproperty, the boundary lines of which portions are as
follows, viz., beginning at.the point where the north -south and
east -west boundary lines of the 172 of the Wz of said Lot 48 intersect
at the. corner of Paramount Street and Mira. Loma Drive,. thence west
on the north line of.said Lot 48 300 feet, thence south on or
parallel with the -west line•of said Lot 600 feet, thence east parallel
with the north.line of said Lot 300 feet, thence north to the place
of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the h.Sayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest same and certify to the
passage and adoption thereof.. N
