RESOLUTION NO. 1850
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
APPOINTING AND/OR FIXING THE SALARIES OF
CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES, DEFINING THEIR
EMPLOYMENT, ETC.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
BE IT RESOLVED that effective December 15, 1944, and
subject to t e provisions of this resolution and to
the further action of the City Council at any time,
the following named persons shall be and are hereby
designated and employed in the service of the City
of Azusa in the position and capacity set opposite
their respective names, and that their monthly salary
shall be in the amount as is hereby fixed, all as
follows, to wit:

Fred E. Williams
Frank H. Smith

Employment Salary
Captain of Police x$225.00
Chief Operator x$225.00
Patrolman x$190.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the monthly salary of the
hereinabove designatea employees shall be paid out of
the funds allocated to the Police and to the Fire
Departments, one-half thereof to be paid out of the
Police Department funds and one-half out of the Fire
Department funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said employees shall hold
their emp oyment at Me pleasure of the City Council
of the City of Azusa. Upon termination of any appoint-
ment hereunder whether by reason of death, action of
Council in declaring the office, appointment or employ-
ment vacant, declaring the termination thereof or
for or by any other reason whatsoever whether herein
specifically enumerated or not, such employee shall
be paid to the date of such termination only and not
for any unexpired portion of the then calendar month,
such payment for that month to be at a per diem rate
from and including the first day of the then calendar
month to and including the date of such termination
in that month, and shall be in the same proportion of
the monthly salary of such employee as the proportion
which the number of days served by the employee in
that month bear to thirty days.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all provisions of any
prior resolutions or orders of the City Council,
inconsistent with or contrary to the provisions
of this resolution, and only such inconsistent or
contrary provisions, shall be and the same are
hereby rescinded and repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign
this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest
same and certify to'the passage and adoption
thereof.

County, California, do hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City
Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said
Council, duly and regularly held December 4, 1944, in the
regular Council Chambers of said Council in said City,
and was passed by the following vote of said Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Morden
