HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1836RESOLUTION NO. 1836 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, EMPLOYING ELOUISE I. OTT AS CLERK IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK AND FIXING HER SALARY OR COMPENSATION. The City Council of the. City of Azusa does resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED that Elouise I. Ott be and she is hereby appointed as clerk in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, and her salary is,hereby fixed at $130.00 per month beginning September 1, 1944. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms of employment and compensation of Elouise I. Ott shall be subject to further action of the Council at any time and that she shall hold her position at the pleasure of Council. Upon the termination of her employment, whether by reason of death, action of the Council in declaring the position vacant or declaring the termination thereof or by any reason whatsoever, whether herein specifically mentioned or not, said employee shall be paid to the date of such termination only and not for any unexpired portion of the then calendar month, such payment for that month to be in that proportion of the employee's monthly compensation as the number of days which the employee has served in that month bears to the number of days of such month. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof. Passed, approved and adopted this 5th day of September, 1944. -1- Q I DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said Council held in the regular Council Chambers of said Council in the City of Azusa on September 5, 1944, anti that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm.
