HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3077RESOLUTION NO. 3077 6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF TAS ANGLES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1954. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1: That for the purpose of raising the sums of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property of the City of Azusa as a revenue to carry on the various departments of the City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1954, the rates of taxes for the different portions of the City of Azusa are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property in the different portions of said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1954, in the number of cents upon each One Hundred Dollars of the assessed value of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and for the several funds and purposes set forth in the following table, the taxes levied upon property in all portions of said City. For the General Budget Fund 100 cents For the Library Fund 18 cents For the Park and Recreation Fund 30 cents For Bond Redemption 03 cents For Employee's Retirement Fund 18 cents Total General Tax Rate 169 cents Section 2: It is further resolved that the Mayor shall sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify as to the passage and adoption hereof. The City Clerk shall also cause this resolution to be published once in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND THE CITY CLERK TO ATTEST SAME: The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED that that certain Agreement for Installation and Removal of Electric Distribution Facilities for Supplying Electrical Energy for Power and Lighting Service dated August ll, 1954 between the City of Aynsa Light and Power Department and GILFILLAN BROS., INC. the original of which is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, be and the Same is hereby approved; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Azusa be and he is hereby authorized to sign the said contract for and on behalf of the City and City Clerk is hereby directed to attest the same. The City further agrees that any repayment to the Customer of the monies advanced herewith will be made thirty days after the conditions hereinbefore set forth have been complied with. However, if the Customer has not fully complied with said conditions, then the monies advanced, or any part thereof, shall not be returned, and the Customer waives all rights and/or claims to all or any portion of said monies advanced. This agreement shall at all times be subject to such changes or modifications by the City Council of the City of Azusa as said Council may from time to time direct in the exercise of its jurisdiction. JAddress....LQ.I � 'el 3 1 RESOLUTION NO. 3075 2 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, L03 ANGELES 3 COUNTY, CALIFORNIA TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN 4 UNINHABITED TERRITORY. 5 611 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, 711 LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: 8 1. That the City Council of the City of Azusa for the 9 reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own 10 motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex 11 to said City of Azusa all of the territory hereinafter described, 12 as uninhabited territory, under provisions of the Annexation of 13 Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 14 to 35325, inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of 15 California. 16 2. That the Council's reasons for proposing to initiate 17 said annexation proceedings are as follows: The annexation of 18 the hereinafter described territory will contribute to the orderly 19 growth of the City, provide the proper control of street layout, 20 drainage, sanitary sewer design, and insure the proper use of land 21 In conformity with the overall zoning plan of the City. 22 3. That the territory which the Council proposes to 23 annex is hereby identified as "Westerly Annexation District 24 ' . Number Three (No. 3)" and consists of all that real property 25 situate in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, 26 described as follows: 27 Commencing at the Southwest corner of Lot 13 28 of Subdivision No. 2 of the Azusa Land and Water Company as shown on Map recorded in 29 Book 43, Page 94 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder of the County of 30 Los Angeles; thence Northerly along the Westerly lines of Lots 13 to 17 inclusive as 31 shown on said last mentioned Map to the Northwesterly line of said last mentioned lot; 32 P.
