HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3042111 RESOLUTION NO. 3042 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, IAS ANGELES COUNTY, 3 CALIFORNIA DECLARING A FORTY HOUR WEEK FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT 4 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA. 5 WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Azusa has 6 recommended to the City Council that the employees of the Police Department be placed upon a forty hour week; and 7 WHEREAS, a study of the work hour week for Police 8 Departments of incorporated cities of Los Angeles County having a population of over 10,000 indicates that out of thirty-three 9 cities in Los AnW les County 29 of such cities maintain the forty hour week; and 10 WHEREAS it is the opinion of the City Council that a 11 forty -hour week is in the interest of efficiency. 12 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED t4At a forty -hour week be declared for employees in the Police Department of the City of 13 Azusa, same to be effective as of the�1' t� day of 1954. 14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the change in the work week 15 shall not in any manner effect the salary of any of t4,9 corkers in said department, and no double psy-be allowed for holidays. 16 ' r BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this 17 Resolution and the City Clerk attest the same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof.
