THe Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Trustees: Meier, Case,
Chenoweth, Peirce, City Clerk and City Attorney.
Absent: Trustee: Moon.
Trustee Moon now present.
It was moved that the application of Chris
Sorenson for a Pool & Billiard license be granted.
'Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
It was moved that the request of T. S. Oki for
a renewal of his Pool & Billiard license be
denied.
Carried by the ibllowing vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Gase, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
It was moved and carried that the City Clerk be
instructed to notify Mr. Ira L. Vance that the
Board cannot accept his offer covering the City
Audit for 1924-25.
It was moved and carried that the matter of the
employment of an auditor be referred to the
Auditing and Finance Committee.
It was moved that the matter of five culverts
on Santa Fe Avenue and the cement slab at let
and Cerritos.Avenue be referred to the Public
Works Committee with power to act.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
It was moved that the City Clerk be authorized
and instructed to have an insurance policy
written by the Auto Club of So. Calif. on the
new Police Dodge Touring car.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The following Resolution was presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, CREATING THE OFFICE
OF SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
AND APPOINTING JAMES H. McNEAL TO THAT OFFICE
AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted as read.

CITY OF AZUSA, DECLARING THE OFFICE OF CITY MARSHAL RESOLUTION NO. 801
VACANT AND APPOINTING C. E. GAULDIN TO THAT OFFICE ADOPTED.
AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COITENSATION.
The Resolution was read.

The following Resolution was presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE

POLICE OFFICER OF THE CITY OF AZUSA VACANT AND
APPOINTING STEVE SAUNDERS TO THAT OFFICE AND
FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION.

It was moved that the Water and Light Superin-
tendent be authorized to purchase the following
supplies:
20 110 volt 2 wire meters
1 110 volt 3 wire meter
6 1} inch gate valves
' 12 2 inch gate valves
6 2 x 2* inch fire hydrants
24 Corporation cocks Fig. 41
24 Corporation cocks Fig. 89
1 Vise for shop
Pipe fittings from 2 inch to j inch.

On motion duly carried the request of Julio
Guerrero for permission to move a frame store
building was denied.
The following Ordinance was presented:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING A CITY PLANNING COMMISSION FOR
SAID CITY, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT THERE-
OF, AND PRESCRIBING ITS POWERS AND DUTIES.
The Ordinance was read.
It was moved that the Ordinance be declared
read for the second time and taken up for its
third reading and final passage.
The Ordinance was read.

It was moved that the City Clerk be instructed
to notify Mr. Demmitt to submit hi proposition
relative to Sunset Avenue in writing with an
engineers survey attached, and that the Board
would give the matter favorable consideration.

Absent: None.
It was moved and carried that Pete Gonzales be
aiuthorized to remove the pepper tree from in
front of his property.
It was moved and carried that the matter of
curbs and gutter on Azusa Avenue be referred
to the City Engineer to report at next meeting
with estimated cost of same.
It was moved and carried that the matter of
'sidewalk in front of Lot 1, Blk. 39, be referred
to the City Attorney.
