RESOLUTION NO. 3150
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELS COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA GRANTING THE PETITION OF
CONCORDIAN LUTHERAN CHURCH VARIANCE
CERTAIN PROPERTIES FROM ZONE R-1 TO
THE
OF
WHEREAS, the Concordia Lutheran Church of 405 South Azusa
Avenue, Azusa, California have heretofore filed with the City
Planning Commission a Petition for Variance of the property
hereinafter described from Zone R-1 to Zone R-3; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Azusa
has held public hearings provided by Ordinance No. 409 on the
question of granting or denying said petition; and
WHEREAS due notice of said hearings have been given as
provided by haw; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has rendered its
reports and recommendation to the City Council to the effect
that the petition of said Concordia Lutheran Church be granted;
and
79HEREAS, the City Council at its regular meeting on
December 20, 1954 confirmed the action of the Planning Commission
and did grant the application of said church; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa has found
and does hereby find, determine and declare that no further
notice of filing said petition and of the hearing thereon is
necessarily required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'T RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Azusa that an Exception and Variance be, and the same is
hereby ordered and made under Article 19 of Ordinance No. 409
of the City of Azusa, permitting the erection of parochial school
with necessary outbuildings thereon be granted and that the
variance as requested is hereby granted to apply to the following
described real estate, to -wit:
Lot 2 of Tract 5115, City of Azusa,
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of said lot,
distant North 374.47 feet from the southeasterly corner
of said lot; thence along said easterly line, North
108.48 feet; thence West 349,38 feet to the southeasterly
line of the Los Angeles County Flood Control Channel,
65 feet wide, described as Parcel No. 146 in Case No.
561681 in the Superior Court of said state, in and for
said County; thence along said southeasterly line, South
430 551 55" West 150.63 feet to a line which bears west
from the point of beginning; thence East 453.89 feet to
the point of beginning,
Said land is registered under the Land Title Law,
, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a
regular meeting of said Council of said City, held in the regular
Council Chambers of said City Council in said City, January 3,
1955, and that the same was passed by the following vote of the
Council:
