CALIFORNIA FLEETWOOD 4-1204 RESOLUTION NO. 3250 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THAT THE QUESTION OF CHANGE OF CITY GOVERNMENT BE SUBMITTED TO THE ELECTORATE OF THE CITY AT ITS NEXT GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN APRIL, 1956. WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is undergoing tremendous expansion both in area and population; and WHEREAS, the City's revenues and expenses are increasing annually to the point where the gross annual business is considerably in excess of one and a half million dollars; and WHEREAS, the problems created by this great increase and size have made all of the departments larger and the work of all city employees much greater so that the demands upon the time of all department heads keep them fully occupied with the day to day running of the city's business; and WHEREAS, there is apparently a need for over all control and coordination of the efforts of the various city departments to insure the utmost in efficient administration of the city's affairs. WHEREAS, a basic change of this character in the city's government should be submitted to the electorate of the city for their consideration and action. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the question of whether or not the city should adopt the council manager form of government be submitted to the voters at the general election in April, 1956. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof.
