M.465 The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above ti ms and place. Present at roll call: Trustees: Peirce, Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Case, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: None. The minutes of the regular meeting held Feb. 16th, and of the regular adjourned meeting held Feb. 19th, 1925 were read and approved as read. The bpplication of J. H. McNeal for an increase in APPLICATION OF J. H. ' salary was laid over to next meeting. McNEAL LAID OVER TO BUT MEETING. The application of W. A. James for permission to construct a driveway'into his premises was grant- W. A. JAMES GRANTED PER - ed; such work to be done under the supervision of MISSION TO CONSTRUCT the Street Superintendent. DRIVEWAY. On motion duly carried a communication received COMMUNICATION FROM from Edward J. Cotter, relative to the refusal of EDWARD J. The following Resolution was presented: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA; DECLARING IT TO BE TO THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND TO BE THE DESIRE AND IN- TENTION OF SAID CITY TO JOIN WITH'THE CITIES OF 'COVINA, GLENDORA, WEST COVINA, BALDWIN PARK, PUENTE, CHARTER OAS, SAN DIMAS, AND OTHER COMMUNITIES IN THE CENTRAL SAN GABRIEL VALLEY, IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY IN THE FORMATION OF A METROPOLITAN SEWER DISTRICT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN OUTFALL SEWER TO CONNECT FROM.THE CITY OF AZUSA AND SAID CITIES AND COMMUNITIES TO THE PACIFIC OCEAN. The Resolution was read. On motion the same was, adopted as read.' Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Peirce, Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Case. Noes: None. Absent: None. The following Resolution was adopted. RESOLUTION NO. 820 ADOPTED. 466 '? MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD March 2nd, 1925. RESOLVED: That the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa realizing the pressing need of the City of Azusa for an adequate water supply and distributing system do now go on record to the effect that if the Water Committee of the Azusa Chamber of"Commerce does not present to this Board a leasable plan for a bond issue to accomplish this purpose by the 16th of March, 1925 that this Board will at its regular meet- ing on that date institute and initiate pro- ceedings for calling of such a bond issue and 'that the City Clerk be authorized and instructed to send a copy of this resolution to the secre- tary of the Chamber of Commerce and publish a copy of the same in the Azusa Journal. The Resolution was read. On motion the same was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Peirce, Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Pe+ `. Noes: None. Absent: None. It was moved and carried that a committee of three be appdinted to act in conjunction with a like committee from each of the cities of Covina, and Glendora to vork out a plan for the disposal of garbage and that the Board of Trustees of said cities of Covina and Glendora be requested to co-operate by the appointment of such committees. In accordance with the foregoing motion the following committee was appointed: Trustees: Moon, Meier and Chenoweth. It was moved that the matter of the purchase of a dump truck for the street department be referred to the Public Works Committee to in- vestigate and report at the next meeting. It was moved that the following bills be allow- ed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same. Carried by the following vote, to -wit: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
