The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Trustees: Peirce, Moon,
Meier, Chenoweth, Case, City ..ttorney and City
Clerk. Absent: None.
The minutes of the meeting held March 2nd, 1925,
were read and approved as read.

A_ letter was received from the Rolla E. Clapp LETTER FROM ROLLA E. CLAPP
enclosing check for $400.00 to apply on cost RELATIVE TO THE CONSTRUCTION
'of construction of light and power line to Para- OF LIGHT AND POWER LINE TO
mount Factory. PARAMOUNT FACTORY.
It was moved that the check for $400.00 of R.
E. Clapp for power and light line to the Para-
mount Factory be accepted and the work ordered
done with the express understanding that the
total cost will be about $170.00 additional
and mast be paid on demand; and the connections
are subject to be discontinued at any time
after the expiration of 8 months from this date
and that a copy of this motion be sent to Mr.
Clapp.

Peirce Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Case, Nobs:

It was moved that the City Engineer be instruct-
ed to proceed with the work of building a
cement gutter on the north side of Center Street
between Soldano and Pasadena Avenue.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Peirce, Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Case. Noes:
None. Absent: None.
'It was regularly moved and carried that a per-
mit be given Vicente Cruz to move a frame
building from Fourth and Azusa Avenue to Soldano
Avenue between Section and Third Street upon the
deposit of X50.00 to cover possible damages to
City property.
It was regularly moved and carried that all bids
for Street work on Ninth Street be now opened,
examined and publicly declared.
The following bids were read:

The City Engineer presented the following
report:

The Honorable Board of Trustees:
Gentlemen:
The City Engineer wishes to re -
ort that the bid of Robert P. Law for
3,322.80 for the construction of sidewalks
'and curbs along Ninth Street is the lowest
and best responsible bid.

The following Resolution was presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT SIDEWALKS AND CURBS
ON PORTIONS OF NINTH STREET.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted as read.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes:
None. Absent: None.
Mr. C. A. Huffman, Secretary of the Chamber of
Commerce appeared before the Board and read
the report of the Chamber's Special Water
Committee and on motion duly carried the re-
port was accepted and a vote of thanks tendered
the oo mnittee for their services.
'It was moved that James E. Barker, Consulting
Electrical and Mechanical Engineer of the City
of Azusa be instructed to make an estimate of
the cost of the following Municipal improvements,
to -wit: The acquisition, construction and com-
pletion of light and power forks and plants in
the City of Azusa.

Electric and Mechanical Engineer of the City of
Azusa, be instructed to make an estimate of the
cost of the following Municipal Improvements, to -
wit: The acquisition, construction and completion
of water works in the City of Azusa.

For the acquisition, construction and com-
pletion of light and power works and plants in
the City of Azusa, I estimate the cost to be in
the sum of Ten Thousand (10,000.00) Dollars.

Mr. Barker presented the following report:
Azusa, California
March 16, 1915.
To the Board of Trustees
Of the City of Azusa.
Gentlemen:
Pursuant to your instructions to
make an estimate of the cost of certain Munici-
pal improvements, I hereby estimate the cost
of the same to be as follows.
For the acquisition, construction
and completion of water works in the City of
Azusa, I estimate the cost to be in the sum
of One Hundred and five Thousand (105,000.00)
Dollars.

The following Resolution was presented:
