A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING AN INITIAL STUDY AND
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A SUBSEQUENT
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT NEED NOT BE PREPARED
FOR THE PROPOSED SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
AND THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF SUCH REAL PROPERTY
IN THE AZUSA CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa
(the "Agency") has prepared an Initial Study of the environmental
impacts of the proposed Disposition and Development Agreement
by the Agency with Forest City Dillon, Inc.; and for the sale of
certain real property (the "Site") described in said Agreement; and
WHEREAS, said Initial Study conforms to the requirements
of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (Public Resources
Code, Section 21000 et seq.), the "Guidelines for the Implementation
of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970", as amended,
adopted by the Secretary for Resources of the State of California,
and the Procedures for Implementation of the California Environmental
Quality Act of 1970 adopted by resolution of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has made available copies of said
Initial Study for public review and comment, according to and in
the manner as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The Agency hereby approves and adopts the
Initial Study with respect to the proposed Agreement between the
Agency and Forest City Dillon, Inc.
SECTION 2. The Agency hereby certifies that the information
contained in the Initial Study and in the Final Environmental Impact
Report for the Project has been reviewed and considered by the
members of the Agency.
SECTION 3. The•Agency hereby finds and determines as
follows:
(1) No substantial changes are proposed in the
Redevelopment Project, or with respect to the
circumstances under which the -Project is to be
undertaken, which will require major revisions
in the Environmental Impact Report previously
adopted for the Project due to the involvement
of new environmental impacts not covered in
said previous Environmental Impact Report;
(2) No Subsequent or Supplement to EIR is necessary
or required; and
(3) The proposed action will have no significant
effect on the environment, except as identified
and considered in the previous EIR.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of June,
1979.
