The Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Trustees:
Moon, Beier, Chenoweth, Pierce,
City Clerk and City Attorney.
Absent: None.
The minutes of the regular
meeting held June let, 1925
and of the special meeting
held June 4th, 1925 were read
and approved as read.
A letter was read from A. K.
Warren, Chief Engineer Los
Angeles County Sanitation Die-
trict and on motion duly carried
the same was referred to the
City Engineer with power to act.
The application of Edward C.
Hendley for appointment as night
watchman was read and ordered
placed on file.
The resignation of J. H. McNeal
as night patrolman was read and
on motion duly carried the same
was accepted.

On motion duly carried George
Belles was granted a two weeks va-
cation commencing July 1, 1925

The following Resolution was pre-
sented:

ORDERING THE WORK ON NINTH STREET.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted as
SUPT. WATER AND LIGHT DEETS.
TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES.

The following Resolution was
presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
DIRECTING. THE ASSESSMENT OF
THE NINTH STREET IMPROVEMENT
TO BE.MADE AND SIGNED BY THE
CITY ENGINEER.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted
as read.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier,
Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes:. None.
Absent: None.
The following Resolution was
presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES. OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING M. T.
DURRELL AS A 10-SBER OF SAID
BOARD..
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted
as read.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier,
Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The City Clerk reported that the
returns of the Special Light and
Power and water Bond elections
held on Monday, the 1st day of
June, 1925, in the City of Azusa,
California were then and had been
in his possession in the envelopes
containing them, in the same con-
dition as when received and the
said Clerk presented said returns
to the Board of Trustees at this
meeting.
It was thereupon moved by
Trustee August L. Meier and se-
conded by Trustee Morgan J. Pierce
that the Board of Trustees proceed
forthwith to canvass said returns.
The motion was adopted by the follow-
ing vote, to -wit: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes:
None. Absent: None.
On motion duly carried Trustees

ELECTION VOTES CANVASSED.
Meier and Chenoweth were appointed
tellers to canvass said votes.
After canvassing said vote, said
tellers reported as follows:
That the proposition of incurring
a bonded debt in the sum of One Hun-
dred and Five Thousand ($105,000.00)
Dollars for the acquisition, con-
struction and completion of Waterworks
in the City of Azusa received 250 votes
for and 278 against.
And that the proposition of incurring
a bonded debt in the sum of Teri Thousand

(10,000.00) Dollars for the
acquisition; construction and
completion of light and power
works and plant in the City of
Azusa received 267 for and 256
votes against.
It was moved by Trustee Chenoweth,
seconded by Trustee Moon that the
following Resolution be adopted:
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULT
OF THE VOTE HELD AT A SPECIAL
ELECTION HAD AT AZUSA, CALIFORNIA,
JUNE 1st, 1925.
Said Resolution was read and on
motion said Resolution being Re-
solution No. 834 was adopted as
read.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Cheno-
weth, Peirce. Noes: None. Absent:
None.
The following Resolution was pre-
sented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE OFFICE
OF SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, NOW HELD BY JAMES
H. McNEAL VACANT AND AZ20INTING
C. C. COLLINS TO THAT OFFICE.AND
FIXING HIS.SALARY OR COMPENSATION.
The.Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted as
read.
