•The Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Trustees:
Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell,
City Clerk and City Attorney.
Absent: Trustee: Moon.
The minutes of the meeting held
August 3rd, 1925 were read and
approved as read.
The request of Maurice Jones for
two weeks vacation commencing
August 24th was granted.
On -motion duly carried the re-
quest of Vosburg Brothers for
permission to lay a four inch
vitrified pipe line down the
east line of the alley from the
rear of Lot 7 in Block 37 to the
rear of Lot 46 in Block 37 for
sewer purposes to connect with
a cesspool on Lot 46 in Block
37 was granted.
The application of Jess and
Manuel Mora for a license to
operate a pool and billiard
room on Soldano Avenue between
Second and Third Streets was
referred to the Sanitary and
Police Committee to report at
next meeting.
A communication was received
from the State Railroad Commiss-
ion relative to the matter of
bringing the city light facil-
ities into compliance with the
law and on motion duly carried
the matter was referred to the
Public Works Committee with
power to act.

A number of bids were submitted BIDS SUBMITTED FOR THE FURNISHING
for the furnishing of light bulbs OF LIGHT BULBS FOR THE ENSUING
for the ensuing year and on motion YEAR REFERRED TO THE SUPT. OF
duly carried they were referred to LIGHT & WATER DEPTS. TO REPORT
'the Superintendent of the Light AT NEXT MEETING.
and Water Departments to report
at next meeting.
The following Resolution was
presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
RECORDATION OF THAT CERTAIN
CORPORATION GRANT DEED EXECUTED
JULY 27th, 1925 BY THE CONTRACT
WATER COMPANY, J. L. MOTTER,
PRESIDENT AND H. S. ROGERS,
SECRETARY, IN FAVOR OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA.
The Resolution was read.

The following Ordinance was
presented:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
PROHIBITING THE DISTURBANCE
OF THE -PEACE, DEFINING THE
SAME A14D FIXING A PENALTY FOR
THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
The Ordinance was read.
It was moved that the Ordinance
be declared read for the first
time and laid over to nest meet-
ing.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Meier, Durrell,
Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee: Moon,
The City Clerk filed a Certifi-
cate that no protests or objec-
tions of any kind had been filed
up to 7:30 P. 14. of this date,
the time set for hearing of pro-
tests respecting the work to be'
done under Resolution No. 844 on
Angeleno Avenue.
The following Resolution was
presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF

ORDERING THE WORK ON ANGELENO
AVENUE.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted
as read.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Meier, Chenoweth,
Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee: Moon.
The following Resolution was
presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
DIRECTING THE ASSESSMENT TO BE
MADE AND SIGNED BY THE CITY
ENGINEER OF SAID CITY.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted
as read.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Meier, Chenoweth,
Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee: Moon.
A letter was received from the
Southern Service Company tender-
ing a check for business license
under protest and on motion duly
carried the City Clerk was in-
structed to notify them that the

NO PROTESTS RESPECTING THE WORK
TO BE DONE UNDER RESOLUTION NO.
844 ON ANGELENO AVENUE.
RESOLUTION NO. 848 ADOPTED.

On motion duly carried a LETTER FROM NICHOLS, COOPER
letter from Nichols, Cooper AND HICKSON RELATIVE TO BUSINESS
and Hickson relative to LICENSE LAID ON TABLE.
Business license Ordinance
was laid on the table.
A petition of the Bank of
America and others for the
improvement of the streets
in a portion of Tract 8507
was laid over to next meet-
ing.
It was moved that the follow-
ing bills be allowed and
warrants ordered drawn upon
the Treasury for the same.
