HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - September 8, 1925 - CCCITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: None. September 8, 1925 7:30 P. M. 83 The minutes of the regular meeting held August 17th and of the Special meetings held August 24th and Sept- ember 3rd,9were read and approved as read. It was moved that the matter of the employment of a motor officer be referred to the Sanitary and Police Committee with power to act. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Cheno- weth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. rs Absent: None. On motion duly carried the re- quest of F. W. Allumbaugh for per- mission to place his lunch stand in the parkway temporarily during the construction of a new build- ing was referred to the Sanitary and Police committee with power to act. The application of F. W. Zerell for a two weeks vacation commenc- ing September 14th was granted. A letter was read from Murray S. Vosburg relative to the matter of pool and billiard licenses and on motion duly carried the same was referred to the City Attorney. A letter was received from the Chamber of Commerce relative to the matter of a provision for funds for advertising and on motion duly carried the same was laid over to neat meeting. A letter was received from the County Auditor relative to charge for maintaining city prisoners in the County jail and on motion duly carried the same was referred to the City Attorney. On motion duly carried the matter of the petition for street work in the Paramount Heights Tract was referred to the Public Works Committee to confer with the City Attorney. The following Resolution was presented: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, PROVIDING FOR THE. TRANSFER OF X2000.00 FROM TIM LIGHT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND AND x$'1000.00 FROM THE WATER FUND TO THE GENER- AL FUND. The Resolution was read.. On motion the same was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote. Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, . Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: None. On motion duly carried the re- quest of Walter Johnson for the removal of a pepper tree from in front of his property was granted and he was also granted permission to construct a cesspool in the parkway and move a building from the rear of his lot to the east side of San Gabriel Avenue below Sixth Street.
