Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell, City Clerk and City Attorney. The minutes of the regular meet- ing held September 1, 1925 were read and approved as read. A letter from R. F. McClellan, Chairman of th6"Board of Super- visors relative to a meeting of County Sanitation District No. 7 was read and'�placed on file. A letter from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the City of Pasadena relative to water development in the San Gabriel Canyon was read and order- ed placed on file. It was regularly moved and carried that the President of the Board of Trustees be authorized to approve the bonds of Joseph M. Shull & Co., contractors on Angeleno Avenue and that they be placed on file. October 5, 1925 9:30 P. 105 LETTER FROM R. F. It was moved that Fire Chief Hibsch be authorized to purchase 200 feet of fire hose. Carried by the following vote: Ayes; Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: None. The following Resolution was pre- sented: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, DECLARING THE OFFICE OF SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER VACA21T AIM APPOINT ED HENDLEY TO THAT OFFICE. AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION. The Resolution was read. On motion the same was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote: Ayes; Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustees: None. ACTION OF CITY CLERK IN ISSU- ING A LICENSE TO W. D. GAUTNER RATIFIED AIM APPROVED. FIRE CHIEF AUTHORIZED TO PUR- CHASE FIRE HOSE. RESOLUTION NO. 858 ADOPTED. 1; MINUTES OF THE I:IEETING HELD OCTOBER 5th, 1925 In compliance with the provisions of Resolution of this Board dated September 21, 1925, the Street Superintendent presented before the Board of Trustees a re -assess- ment according to benefits covering the improvement of a portion of Ninth Street, in. the City of Azusa, Califor- nia for the work done and performed by Allen Munro, THEREUPON IT WAS MOVED BY TRUSTEE Meier, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE Moon That on the 2nd day of November, 1925, at the Council Chamber of this Board in the City Hall, and at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. IA., be and is hereby.fixed as the time and place when any and all interested persons may appear and .show cause why said re -assessment should not be confirmed. FURTHER, that the City Clerk shall advertise the time of such hear- ing by publishing a notice thereof for two insertions in the Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa. Said Motion was thereupon adopted by the following vote:.Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustees: None. All ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE.CITY OF AZUSA AIdENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDII4ANCE NO. 224 OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "Aid ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA WENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 196 OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF NO. 178 OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "Aid ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING THE RATE TO BE CHARGED BY THE CITY OF AZUSA FOR WATER AND WATER CONNECTIONS", ETC., ADOPTED MAY 29 1916, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 189 OF SAID CITY ADOPTED NOVEMBER 20, 1917" ADOPTED JULY 21, 1919" adopted September 17, 1925. The Ordinance was read. It was moved that the Ordinance be de- clared read for the first time and laid over to next meeting. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustees: None. A petition for street work in Tract 8507 was presented and on motion duly carried the same was laid over to next meeting. It was moved that the matter of water- ing street trees be referred to the Public Works Committee with power to act. 7:30 P. M. 107 FIXING HEARING ON RE- ASSESSMENT OF NINTH STREET. ORDINANCE READ. PETITION FOR STREET WORK IN TRACT 8507 LAID OVER TO NEXT MEETING. WATERING OF STREET TREES RE- FERRED TO .PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE WITH POWER TO ACT. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: None. The.following-Resolution'was__pre= _- sented: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IM MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD OCTOBER 5th, 1925 7:30 P. 11.109 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFOR- NIA, PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF 4500.00 FROM THE WATER FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND AND 41500 RESOLUTION NO. 859 FROM THE LIGHT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND. ADOPTED. The.Resolution was read. On motion the same was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: None.
