Present at roll call: Trustees: Durrell, Moon, Meier, Peirce, Chenoweth, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the regular meeting held December 7, 1925 were read and approved as read. December 21, 1925. 7:30 P.M. 147 A communication from Mrs. L Case resigning her position on ',ERS CASE'S RESIGNATION AS A the Library Board was read, and MEMBER OF THE LIBRARY BOARD on motion the resignation was ACCEPTED. accepted. After a COMmunicat oh had been read from the Asuea Foothill Citrus Co., it was moved and oarried that the City Clerk he instructed to inform the Ama boot -Hill Company if they will offer to dedicate to the City of Azusa a street at the point desired and across the Santa Ile tracks, subject to the approval of the Rail- road Commission, the City of Azusa will, jointly with the Azsua Foothill Company, file with the Railroad Commission an application for a grade crossing, together with the necessary maps and surveys. Carried by the following vote: Trustees: Durrell, Moon Meier, Peirce, Chenoweth: Noes: None. Absent: None. It was moved and carried, that the request of 0. J. Berner with regard to the paving of the street in front of his home on Azusa Avenue be granted. The cost to be borne by the petitioner. Carried by the following vote: Trustees: Durrell, Moon, Meier, Peirce, Chenoweth, _"does: None. Absent: None. A Communication was read from Mr. Wm. P. McDonald, Claiming 022.75, amount of damage done to his automobile tire owing to an excavation on W. First Street. On motion the claim was dis-allowed. It was regularly moved and carried that Mr. L. E. Corbin's request for permission to con- struct an elec_rric sign in front of his Drug 6 -tore be granted. The re- quest was granted. The matter of Insurance policies soon to bedome due was refer- red to the Auditing Committee with power to act. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Pierce, Noes: None. Absent.: None. The Following Ordinance was presented: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING THE RATES FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE FOR SAID CITY FOR: (1) DOMESTIC AND QM2.1ER- CIAL LIGHTING RATE; (2) COM- BINED LIGHTING, HEATING AND COOKING RATE; (3) GENERAL POWER RATE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY IN CON- FLICT HEREWITH. It was moved that the ordinance be declared read for the first time and laid over to the next meetin. Carriedgby the following vote: AMERICAN LEGION GIVETI PERMISSION TO HOLD MEETINGS TWICE. A communication from the Railroad Commission was read, and ordered placed on file. Protests regarding the work on Ninth Street were then called for. As no protests were made and no protestants appeared, the City Clerk was instructed to make a record of the same in the minutes. It was moved by.Trustee:hloon �. and seconded by Trustee Chenoweth that the proposed plan to amend the Declaration of Trust No. 243, in accord- ance with the agreement proposed by Mr., Gilbert and Mr. Goodwin, which contemplates the under- taking of the Street Improve- ment in Paramount Height Tract be and the same is hereby approved. On motion the same was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Pierce. Noes: None Absent: None. The President of the Board ap- pointed Miss Wyllie Jamieson and C. C. Carpenter to fill the vacancies on the Library -Board. Mr. J. C. Muehe was appointed to succeed himself.
