HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5780 0 RESOLUTION NO. 578 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADOPTING BY REFERENCE RULES GOVERNING PARTICIPATION AND PREFERENCES BY OWNERS, OPERATORS OF BUSINESSES AND TENANTS AND A RELOCATION PLAN FOR THE RANCH CENTER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA WHEREAS, the Azusa Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency"), within a reasonable period of time before the approval of a redevelopment plan, is required to adopt Rules Governing Participation and Preferences by Owners, Operators of Businesses and Tenants (hereinafter "Owner Participation Rules"), pursuant to Section 33339.5 of the California Health and Safety Code (the "Code" hereinafter); and WHEREAS, Section 33411 of the Code requires that the Agency prepare a feasible method or plan for relocation of families or persons to be temporarily or permanently displaced from within a project area, irrespective of whether any displacement of residents, businesses or others is anticipated; and WHEREAS, Section 7260 at seq. of the Government Code requires a public entity to provide relocation advisory assistance to any person, business, or farm operation displaced because of the acquisition of real property for public use; and WHEREAS, a document entitled "Rules Governing Participation and Re -Entry Preferences for Property Owners, Operators of Businesses, and Tenants in the Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project Areal' and a document entitled, "Relocation Method for the Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project Areal' were both adopted on October 1, 1984. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AZUSA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The documents entitled, "Rules Governing Participation and Re -Entry Preferences for Property Owners, Operators of Businesses, and Tenants in the Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project Areal' and "Relocation Method for the Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project Areal' are herein adopted by reference for the Ranch Center Redevelopment Project Area. SECTION 2. The Executive Director of the Azusa Redevelopment Agency is authorized and directed to make the above-described documents available for public inspection with a notice of the availability thereof included in the published notices of public hearing for Ranch Center Redevelopment Project. SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify the adoption of this Resolution. PASSED APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of Tune , 1989.
