JUNE 219 1926. 7'30 P.M. 247 Present at roll call: Trustees: Durrell, Beck, Loney, Chenoweth, Howard, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. The report of the Health Officer was read and ordered placed on file. A communication regarding work done by the Fire Department was read, from the Los Angeles County itoad Department and order- ed placed on file. A letter from Mr. W. L. Bain applying for the position of Building Inspector was read and ordered placed on file. Permission was granted Mr. Levert to break the curb at #631 Soldano Avenue for a driveway to a garage The work to be done under the supervision of the Street Super- intendent.. After the affidavits of Ira D. Moon, August L."Meier, and Morgan J. Peirce had been presented, and the affidavit of Morgan J. Peirce had been read by the City Clerk, it was moved by 'Trustee Chenwoeth and seconded by 'Trustee Durrell that the bills for 4100.00 and $200.00 for services rendered by Henery P. Goodwin be allowed and a'warrant drawn for the same. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Beck, Loney, Chenoweth, Howard.. Noes: None. Absent. Bone. It was resolved that this board, as a committee of the whole, meet in conference with the. Paramount Heights interest on Monday, June 28, 1926 at 7:30 P.M. The blanket Crossarm Agreement of the Home 'Telephone Gompany was read, and on the advice of the City Attorney and Consulting Engineer, it was decided not to enter into the agreement as pre- sented. Mr. Murray Vosburg then addressed the board of Trustees on the matter of aiding the American Legion in decorating the City for luxe July Fourth adn Fifth. The City Attorney was instructed to draw up an Ordinance changing the name of Center Street to the Foothill Boulevard. Mr. Bergen was granted an ad- ditional permit to out the curb on Azusa Avenue and put in a cement runway. The work to be done under the supervision of the Street Superintendent. It was the sentiment of the members of the Board that the request of Mrs Bertha Philleo, for City water, be refused. The following Resolution was presented and given its apprp- priate number: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE BY SAID CITY OF CERTAIN WATER RIGHTS OWNED BY JENNIE SPROULE THOMAS, AND FIXING THE PRICE TO BE PAID THEREFOR AND THE TERMS OF PAYMENT. CITY ATTORNEY INSTRUCTED TO DRAIN ORDINANCE CHANGING NAME OF CENTER ST. TO FOOTHILL BOULEVARD. MR. BERGEN GRANTED PEiMISSION TO CUT CURB FOR RUNWAY. THE BOARD REFUSED MRS BERTHA PHILLEO'S REQUEST FOR CITY WATER. RESOLTUION NO. 902. ADOPTED. It was moved that the President PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD AND of the Board and the City Clerk CITY CLERK AUTHORIZED TO be authorized to sign a contract SIGN CONTRACT WITH GENERAL with the General Electric Company ELECTRIC CO.
