The Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa met in tegular
session at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Trustees:
Durrell, Beck, Chenoweth, Howard,
City Clerk. Absent: Trustee:
Loney and City Attorney. The
City Attorney came in during the
reading of the minutes of the last
meeting.
The minutes of the last regular
meeting were read and approved as
read.
It was moved by Trustee Durrell
and seconded by Trustee Chenoweth
that permission be granted Mr. and
Mrs H. E. Barker to continue their
meetings until October 17, 1926.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Chenoweth,
Howard. Noes: Trustee: Beck.
Absent: Trustee: Loney.
It was moved by Trustee Chenoweth
and seconded by Trustee Durrell
that permission be granted Rev.
P. G. Murrey to hold meetings in
a tent on a vacant lot in the City,
with regard to the bible in the
schools.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Chenoweth,
Howard. Noes: Trustee: Beck.
Absent: Trustee: Loney.
It was moved by Trustee Beck and
seconded by Trustee Durrell and
carried that the petition of G. 11.
Gillenwater be referred to the
Board of Public Works to report
back at the next regular meeting
of the Board.

A communication from the Pacific
Electric Railway Co. was read and
ordered placed on file.
A request from WM. C. Smiley for
position as Idotor Cycle Officer
in the City of Azusa was read and
ordered placed on file.
It was moved by Trustee Beck, sec-
onded by Trustee Chenoweth and un-
animously carried that a Resolution
entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA PRO-
VIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF $1250.00
FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE ACT STREET IM-
PROVEMENT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND.

Moved by Trustee Beck seconded by
Trustee Chenoweth that the resolution
be adopted as read and given its ap-
propriate number 921.

GINEER TO PREPARE INPROVEIIENT PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CEMENT SIDE'AALXS AND CURBS 011 THE WEST
SIDE OF AZUSA AVENUE AND ON THE EAST AND
WEST SIDES OF SAN GABRIEL AVENUE IN THE
CITY OF AZUSA, FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF
NINTH STREET TO THE NORTH LINT, OF SANTA
FE AVENUE, EXCEPT 'WHERE SIDEWALXS AND
CURBS ARE ALREADY CONSTRUCTED.

NAMING AND DESIGNATING THE SAIvE AS

California Municipalities was dis-
cussed by the City Attorney and
members of the Board and laid over
until.next regular meeting.
It was moved by Trustee Durrell
seconded by Trustee Chenoweth the
the City Attorney in conjunction
with the City Engineer make de-
finite arrangements with the Title
Insurance and Trust Company with
regard to the completing of the
search of title for Paramount Ave.
The next bill to includ the $575.00
as well as the cost of the
title down to date.

the Board.

Absent: Trustee: Loney.
Mr. McClain, representing members
of Citrus Junior College, was
present to ask for the Hall for
Fraternity purposes. The matter
was laid over until the next meet-
ing of the Board.
It was moved by Trustee Chenoweth
seconded by Trustee Beck that the
following bills be allowed and
warrants ordered drawn upon the
Treasury for the same.
