The Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Trustees:
Durrell, Beck, Chenoweth, Howard,
City Attorney and City Clerk.
A communication from the Canyon
City Post Nu. 180 was read and
on motion by Trustee Beck,
seconded by Trustee Chenoweth
it was unanimously carried that
the matter be referred to the
Board as a committee of the
whole to confer with the officers
of the American Legion.
A request for the continuance,
for another year, of 475.00 a
month to be paid to the Chamber
of Commerce of the City of Azusa
for music and promotion was pre-
sented and on a motion by Trustee
Beck, seconded by Trustee ChenO-
weth was granted.
Carried by the following vote
of the Board:
Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Beck,
Chenoweth, Howard. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
An application for work at the
Slouson Park, by 'A. W. Sandy
was read and on motion by
Trustee Durrell, Seconded by
Trustee Chenoweth was referred
to the Board of Public Works.
November 1,'1926. 7:30 P.M.
A request for a donation of X100.00
for the Boy Scouts work in this
district was laid over until the
next meeting of the Board.
A letter was read from Mrs Nell
R. Dace thanking the Board for
the offer of the Library Basement
for the Nothers Reading Circle.
The letter was ordered placed on
file.
A communication from the Pacific
Electric Railway Co. with regard
to a Wig Wag at Soldano Ave. was
ordered placed on file.

The request of the Security Title
Insurance and Guarantee Company
for the refund of X8.59 overpaid
on the taxes of Conwell Smith was,
on motion by Trustee Durrell,
seconded by Trustee Chenoweth
granted by the following vote of
the Board:
Ayes: Trustees; Durrell, Beck,
Chenoweth, Howard. ?does: None.
Absent: None.
The request of Julio Rosales to
remove a house from the front to
the rest of his lot was granted,
he to deposit w20.00 to be re-
turned if no damage is done to
the street.

It was moved by Trustee Durrell
seconded by Trustee Chenoweth
and carried, that permission
be granted S. Frijo to remove
a chicken house from the alley
at San Gabriel and Fourth St.
to Bonita Ave.
The City Clerk reported that
he had received a protest with
regard to the opening of
Paramount Ave. from Frank 1.
Dingman and Nettie L. Dingman.
It was moved by Trustee Durrell
and seconded by 'Trustee Cheno-
weth that the time of hearing
of protests on the improvement
of Paramount Ave. be filed for
8 o'clock on November 15, 1926
at the City Hall.
A communication from Dr: 'ff. I.
Harper was their read by the
City Clerk. It was moved by
Trustee Chenoweth seconded by
Trustee Durrell and carried
that a resolution entitled
"A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CON-
FIRMING TIS, ACTION OF THE BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA IN ADOPTING RESSOLUTION
NO. 929.

It was moved by Trustee Durrell
and seconded by Trustee Cheno-
weth that this resolution be
adopted as read and be numbered

The City Clerk was instructed to
get in touch with .I. H. Calderbank
the owner a':A strip of land com-
mencing at the southwest corner of
Lot 25, Blk. 22, Azusa, thence south
50 ft. to the Nly. line of Santa
Fe Depot Grounds, thence northeast
along said nly. line to the west
line of Azusa Ave., thence north
50 ft. thence, southwest along the
Sly. line of Block 21 and 22 to
point of beginning.' in order to
get a twenty (20) foot R/w for an
alley through the above described
property.
It was moved by Trustee Beck,
seconded by Trustee Chenoweth and
unanimously carried that an ordin-
ance entitled
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY Or AZUSA ESTABLISHING
BOULEVARD RIGHT OF WAY �ZON-FOOTHILL;
BOULEVARD AT THE INTERSECTION OF
ALALIEDA AND SAN GABRIEL AVENUES IN
THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND FIXING THE
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS
ORDINANCE.
