HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 95-R70 0 RESOLUTION NO. 95-R7 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING THE AGENCY'S LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY FROM AZ -BP ASSOCIATES, LTD. AND APPROVING THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES THE BOARD OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Board of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa finds, determines, and declares that: A. The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa ("Agency") is engaged in activities necessary to execute and implement the Redevelopment Plan for the Central District Redevelopment Project ("Project"); and B. The Agency previously assisted with the development of the Mission Chrysler dealership located on Azusa Boulevard, immediately south of the 210 Freeway; and C. In order to implement the Redevelopment Plan and as required by the Disposition and Development Agreement entered into by the parties in connection with the Mission Chrysler development, the Agency proposes to lease property from AZ - BP Associates, Ltd.; and D. The leased property will be used for storage of inventory (vehicles) by Mission Chrysler; and E. The Agency and AZ -BP Associates, Ltd., have negotiated the terms of the Lease Agreement; and F. The proposed Lease Agreement contains all the provisions, terms, conditions, and obligations required by state and local law; and G. The Agency has found and determined, on the basis of an initial study, that the lease will have no significant impact on the environment. SECTION 2. The Agency finds and determines that the proposed lease will have no significant impact on the environment and therefore approves the negative declaration prepared KTF0091.R 9 0 in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. SECTION 3. The lease of the Property by the Agency from AZ -BP Associates, Ltd., and the Lease Agreement which establishes the terms and conditions for the lease, are approved in substantially the form presented to the Board, together with such minor changes as may be approved by the Executive Director and Agency Legal Counsel. SECTION 4. The Executive Director is authorized to execute the Lease Agreement on behalf of the Agency and to take all action necessary to carry out said Agreement. SECTION 5. The Secretary shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and it will take effect after the certification. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1995.
