RESOLUTION NO. 96-R14
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING
AN AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT BY AND AMONG THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND PAM
HENRY, AN INDIVIDUAL, DBA LIBERTY CANDLE COMPANY
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa
does hereby find, determine and declare that:
A. The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa (the "Agency") is engaged in
activities necessary to execute and implement the Redevelopment Plan for the Central
Redevelopment Project Area ("Redevelopment Plan"); and
B. In order to implement the Redevelopment Plan, the Agency entered into a Lease
Agreement (the "Agreement") with Pam Henry, an individual, dba Liberty Candle Company
("Participant"). The Agreement was executed by the Agency and the Participant on June 20, 1995;
and
C. The Participant and the Agency desire to amend the term and rent provisions of the
Agreement; and
D. Agency Counsel has prepared an Amendment to Lease Agreement ("Agreement")
which contains the terms of conditions of the amendment of the Agreement; and
E. The approval of this Agreement is exempt from the California Environmental Quality
Act pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines because the Agency is certain that
there is no possibility that the approval of this Agreement will have a significant impact on the
environment in that it concerns a minor change to the term and rent provisions of a lease.
SECTION 2. The Agency hereby approves the First Amendment to Lease Agreement in
substantially the form presented to the Board of Directors, a copy of which is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", together with such minor changes as may be approved by the Executive Director of the
Agency and Agency Counsel.
SECTION 3. The Chairman of the Agency is hereby authorized to execute the First
Amendment to Lease Agreement on behalf of the Agency and to take all action necessary to carry
out the First Amendment to Lease Agreement.
SECTION 4. The Agency's Secretary shall certify the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and the same shall thereupon take effect and be in force.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution No. 96-R14 was duly
adopted by the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa, at a regular
meeting thereof, held on thelath day of March, 1996, by the following vote of the Council.
