Trustees: Durrell, Beck, Ohenoweth, Howard, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Trustee: Meier, JANUARY 19, 1927. 7:00 P.M. 395 It was moved by Trustee Beck, geconded by Trustee Durrell and unanimously carried that the resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA INCREASING THE SALARY OR COM- PENSATION OF MRS. MAE HYNES, STENOGRAPHER IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY. be read. This resolution was then read. It was moved by Trustee Cheno- weth, seconded by Trustee Durrell that this resolution be adopted as read and be numbered Resolution No. 946. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Beek, Meier, Chenoweth, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None. Trustee Meier entered the meeting and took his seat during the reading of Resolution No. 946. It was moved by Trustee Beck, seconded by Trustee Durrell that the matter of the sale of City Hall Bonds be deferred for the present. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Beck, Meier, Chenoweth, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None. It was moved by Trustee Durrell, seconded by Trustee Beck and un- animously carried that a resolu- tion entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA EIIIPLOYING, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THOMAS A. BERKEBILE TO RECOVER, BY ACTION AT LAW OR IN EQUITY OR BY SETTLEMENT, THE CLAIM OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AGAINST BANK OF AMERICA, PARA- MOUNT MOTORS CORPORATION OF THE PACIFIC, F. S. LACK, L. 't9. COFFEE AND OTHERS, RE LOTS ELEVEN (11), TWELVE ( 12 ) TWENTY- SIX (26) AND T17EITTY-SEVEN (271 OF SUB- DIVISION NO. 2 O AZUSA LAND AND WATER COMPANY, ACCORDING TO MAP RECORDED IN BOOK 43, PAGE 94, MISCELLANEOUS RECORDS IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA; AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF SAID THOMAS A.�BERKEBILE THEREFOR." be read. This resolution was then read. RESOLUTION NO. 946 ADOPTED. TRUSTEE MEIER ENTERED MEETING. MOVED AIM CARRIED THAT THE CITY HALL BONDS BE DEFERRED FOR THE PRESENT. RESOLUTION NO. 947. ADOPTED. i MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEEETING HELD JANUARY 19, 1927 It was moved by Trustee Durrell, seconded by Trustee Beck that the resolution be adopted as read and be numbered Resolution No. 947. Carried by the following vote of the Board: ` Ayes: Trustees: Durrell, Beck, Meier, Chenoweth, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None. The Board of Public works having reported that they thought it unwise to have a Roller Skating Rink operating in the City of Azusa, the request of I.4r. Schmit was denied.
