The Board of Trustees of the City
of Azusa met in adjourned session
at the above time and place.
Present at roll call. Trustees:
Howard, Beck, Meier, Chenoweth,
Durrell, City Attorney and City
Clerk.
Moved by Trustee Howard, seconded
by Trustee Beck that the further
consideration of the bids for work
to be done in the Paramount Heights
Tract be postponed until Monday,
April 4, 1927 at 4:30 P.M.
Carried by the following vote of
the Board:
Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Bedk, Meier,
Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Moved by Trustee Beck, seconded by
Trustee Meier that a warrant for
$14.40 to Tom Lee and. a warrant for
$29.15 to V. Dorweiler be drawn to
defray the cost of the damage done
to the car of the former in a col-
lision with Motor Cycle Officer,
Kimbrell.
Carried by the following vote of the
Board:
Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Beck, Meier,
Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Moved by Trustee Beck, seconded by
' Trustee Chenoweth that Kibbey & Bates
be appointed as architects for the
construction of the proposed new City
Hall if and when they have entered in-
to a contract satisfactory to the Board.

Absent: None.

Trustee Meier and unanimously carried
that a resolution entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING AND
ADOPTING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND A MAP OF THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF ALAMEDA AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF AZUSA.

STREET TO SANTA FE AVENUE IN SAID CITY,
AI4D DECLARING THE IMPROVEMENT TO BE
OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC
BENEFIT, AND THAT THE COST OF THE SAID
IMPROVEMENT SHALL BE ASSESSED UPON A
DISTRICT, AND DETERMINING THAT BONDS

Azusa be requested to appoint a com-
mittee to appraise and to advise the
Board of the value of the following
described property: Lots 21 to 45 in-
clusive in Block 30 City of Azusa. It
being the opinion of the Board that
no owner of property in said Block be
`aced on said committee.

Engineer prepare plans and specifica-
tions for electric lights in the
Vosburg Tract No 8161 in the City
of Azusa.

The City attorney reported as follows.
I transmit herewith, bearing my approval as
to form, draft of a resolution authorizing and directing
the City Clerk to publish a notice of sale of Seventy-
five Thousand liollars 075,000.00) of City Hall bonds
of the City of Azusa, authorized by the voters of said
city at the special municipal election held on the 15th
day of March, 1927.
NHEREUPOii, Trustee Chenoweth presented the follow-
ing resolution and moved that it be adopted and be
numbered 972.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO PUBLISH
A NOTICE IN "THE LOS ANGELES DAILY JOURNAL. AND IN THE "POMO-
TROPIC" INVITING SEALED BIDS FOR SEVE14TY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
(075,000.00) OF CITY HALL BONDS OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZED
BY THE VOTERS OF SAID CITY AT THE SPECIAL IdUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD ON THE 15TH DAY OF MARCH, 1927.
The Board of Trustees 'of the City of Azusa do re-
solve as follows:
WHEREAS, the qualified voters of the City of Azusa
at the special municipal election held on the 15th day of
March, 1927, authorized the incurring of a bonded indebtedness
of Seventy-five Thousand Dollars (475,000.00) by the said
city for the acquisition and construction of a City Hall, in-
oluding the acquisition of the necessary lands and the acquisi-
tion or construction of the necessary building, structures,
equipment and furniture therefor; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Trustees
of said city to offer the said bonds for sale;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk
of the City of Azusa be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to publish in one regular issue each of "The Los Angeles Daily
Journal",.a newspaper of general circulation established, print-
ed, published and circulated in the City of Los Angeles, and
the "Pomotropic", a newspaper of general circulation established,
printed, published and circulated in said City of Azusa, a
notice of sale of and inviting sealed bids for, Seventy-five
Thousand Dollars 1$75,000.00) of city hall bonds of the City of
Azusa authorized by the voters of'said city at the special muni-
cipal election held on the 15th day of March, 1927, in the fol-
lowing form to -wit:
NOTICE OF SALE
OF
SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS (075,000.00)
OF
CITY HALL BONDS OF THE CITY OF AZUSA.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be re-
ceived up to the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. on the 11th day of
April{ 1927, and at that time publicly opened and read, for the
r purchase of Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) of city
hall bonds of said city authorized to be issued by the voters
of said city at the special municipal election held on the 15th
day of March, 1927. Each of said bonds will be dated april
let, 1927, and will bear interest at the rate of not to exceed
five per cent. (5%) per annum, payable semi-annually;. both
principal and interest payable in lawful money of the United
States of America at the office of the Treasurer of the City
of Azusa.
Said bonds will be seventy-five (75) in number of
the denomination of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) each,
numbered and payable as follows:
1 and 2 payable April 1st, 1928, and
two (2) of said bonds numbered consecutively shall be payable
on the let day of April of each and every succeeding year up

to April let, 1964, on which day bonds numbered 73,74 and
75 shall be payable.
Said bonds will be sold for cash only and at not less
than par plus accrued interest. Each bid must state that the
bidder offers at least par plus accrued interest to the date
of delivery and must state separately the premium, if any, of-
fered for the bonds bid for. Each bid also must name the rate
of interest the bonds shall bear upon which the bid is offered
not exceeding five per cent. (5/) per annum. Payment for and
delivery of bonds shall be made at the office of the Treasurer
of the City of Azusa.
A cashier's check in the amount of five per cent.
(,5%) of the total amount bid for said bonds, payable to the
order of the City Treasurer of the City of Azusa, must accom-
pany each bid as a guaranty that the bidder will, if successful,
accept and pay for said bonds in accordance with the terms of
his bid; and said check shall remain in the hands of the
Board of Trustees of said city until all of said bonds are
paid for. Checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned.
The sale of said bonds may be awarded to the success-
ful bidder by the said Board of Trustees at said meeting to be
held on the 11th day of April, 1927, or at any adjourned meet-
ing thereof. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to re-
ject any and all bids.

The resolution was then read.
The motion to adopt said resolution was than
duly seconded by Trustee Beck; the vote was
then taken on the adoption of said resolution
and resulted as follows:
AYES: Trustees: Howard, Beck, Beier, Chenoweth and Durrell;
NOES: None
ABSENT: None.
WHEREUPON, the President of the Board of Trustees
declared the said resolution unanimously adopted.
On motion the Board adjourned until
Monday, April 4, 1927 at 4:30 P.M.
