The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met at the above time and place in regular adjourned session. Present at roll call: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell, City Clerk. Absent: Trustee: Beck, and City Attorney. Moved by Trustee Chenoweth, seconded by Trustee Howard, that the further consideration of the bids for work to be done in the Paramount Heights Tract be continued until Monday, April 4, 1927 at 8 o'clock. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. Moved by Trustee Chenoweth, seconded by Trustee Howard that the Board adjourn. FURTHER CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR WORK IN PARAMOUNT HEIGHTS TRACT CONTINUED UNTIL APRIL 4, 1927 AT 8 O'CLOCK P. 10. City Clerk of the City of Azusa. r�; CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, MONDAY, APRIL 4, 1927. The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular seesion at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell, City Attorney, City Clerk. Absent: Trustee: Beck. The minutes of the last regular meeting of March 21, the adjourned meeting of March 28th and the adjourned meeting of April 4, 1927 were read and approved as read. Moved by Trustee Howard, seconded by Trustee Meier that the bids for work to be done in Paramount Heights Tract be continued until Thursday, April 7, 1927 at 8 o'clock. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Cheno- weth, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. The City Clerk announced that the time had arrived for the opening of bids on the new transformers advertis- ed for by the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa. After the bids had been opened it was moved by Trustee Howard, seconded by Trustee Meier that the offer of the ' Southern California Edison Company, the lower bidder, of $741.75 be accepted. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Cheno- with, Durrell, Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. Thrustee Howard requested that the matter of the proceedings of Angeleno Avenue and of Crescent Drive be brought before the Board. The City Clerk reported that no written protest had been filed with him or made to the -Board against the improvement of Angeleno Avenue as described in Resolution of Intention No. 955 within the time limit of twenty-five days after the last pub- lication of the Resolution of Intention and the last posting and publishing of the Notice of Street Work. The President of the Board then asked if any persons present had any objec- tions to the Angeleno Avenue improve- ment. No objections or protest were made; the President then declared that the Board had jurisdiction to order the work. Moved by Trustee Chenoweth, seconded by Trustee Howard that the Resolution order- ing the work on Angeleno Avenue be read. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. r' l 7:30 P. M. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY GIVEN CONTRACT TO INSTALL TRANSFORMERS. CITY CLERK REPORTED NO PROTESTS FILED AGAINST THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF ANGELENO AVENUE. 475 MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD APRIL 4, 1927. 7:30 P.M. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING CERTAIN iiORY. TO BE DONE ON A PORTION OF ANGELENO AVENUE FROM TENTH STREET TO THE FOOTHILL BOULEVARD. Moved by Trustee Howard, second- ed by Trustee Meier that said resolution be adopted and number- ed Resolution No. 973. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. The City Clerk then reported that no written protests had been filed with him or made to the Board against the improvement of Crescent Drive as described in Resolution of Intention No. 959 within the time limit of 25 days after the last publication of the Resolution of Intention and the last posting and publishing of the Notice of Street Work. The President of the Board then asked if any persons present had any objections to the Crescent Drive im- provement. No objections or protests were made; the President then de- clared that the Board had jurisdiction to order the work. Thereupon the City Engineer was in- structed to prepare a Resolution order- ing the work on Crescent Drive,to be presented at the next meeting of the Board: Moved by Trustee Howard, seconded by Trustee Meier that the matter of the Southern Counties Gas company placing water heaters in the homes of Azusa residents be referred to the Ordinance and Judiciary Committee. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. Moved by Trustee Howard, seconded by Trustee Chenoweth that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and specifications for work to be done on Soldano Avenue from Fourth Street to the Alley South of Second Street. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell, Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. Moved by Trustee Chenoweth, seconded by Trustee Howard that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same. Carried by the following vote of the Board: Ayes: Trustees: Howard, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrellp Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Beck. RESCLUTION NO. 976 ADOPTED.
