HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 07-R330 0 RESOLUTION NO. 07-R33 A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF AZUSA BOARD OF DIRECTORS EXTENDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CALIFORNIA RELOCATION ASSISTANCE LAW AND REAL PROPERTY ACQUISITION GUIDELINES AS PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED BY THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BY RESOLUTION TO THE DRAFT AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE MERGED CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND WEST END REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa ("Agency") has undertaken the required steps for consideration of the adoption of the draft Redevelopment Plan ("Redevelopment Plan") for the Merged Central Business District and West End Redevelopment Project ("Project Area"), which is the proposed 14th Amendment to Central Business District and 9th Amendment to the West End Redevelopment Projects. WHEREAS, a draft Redevelopment Plan for the Project Area has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of California Community Redevelopment Law, Health and Safety Code Sections 33000, et seq. ("Law"). WHEREAS, Section 33411 of the Law provides that the Agency shall prepare a feasible method or plan for relocation of all of the following: A. Families and persons to be temporarily or permanently displaced from housing facilities in the project area; and B. Nonprofit local community institutions to be temporarily or permanently displaced from facilities actually used for institutional purposes in the project area; and WHEREAS, Section 33352(f) of the Law requires that the Report submitted to the City Council in connection with the Redevelopment Plan include a method or plan for the relocation of families and persons to be temporarily or permanently displaced from the Project Area. WHEREAS, the Agency previously approved the Rules and Regulations for Implementation of the California Relocation Assistance Law and Real Property Acquisition Guidelines ("Rules and Regulations") applicable to the Project Area by Resolution 06-119 on March 6, 2006. -1- 0 0 WHEREAS, the Agency shall also extend the Rules and Regulations for Implementation of the California Relocation Assistance Law and Real Property Acquisition Guidelines to the draft Redevelopment Plan for the 14th Amendment to Central Business District and 9th Amendment to the West End Redevelopment Project, which are attached hereto as Attachment A, and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa as follows: SECTION 1. The Rules and Regulations for Implementation of the California Relocation Assistance Law and Real Property Acquisition Guidelines are hereby extended to the 14th Amendment to Central Business District and 9th Amendment to the West End Redevelopment Projects. SECTION 2. The Executive Director is authorized to make the Rules and Regulations available for public inspection, review and comment.
