The Board of Trustees of the Cit;; of
Azusa met in regular session at the
above time and place.
Present at roll call.. Trustees:
Howard, 14eier, Chenoweth, Durrell.
City Attorney and City Clerk.
Absent: Trustee: Beck.
The City Clerk reported that all of
the election returns had been received
in his office for the Ititunicipal Recall.
Election held in the City of Azusa on
the 28th day of June, 1927.
The City Attorney stated that the Board
of Trustees should now proceed with the
canvassing of the returns of said Municipal
Recall Election held on the 28th day of
June, 1927.

The President of the Board thereupon in-
structed the City Clerk to distribute the
returns of said election to the members of
the Board of Trustees to examine and to note
whether or not the envelopes are properl7
signed and sealed before opening sane and to
carefully examine same and to check the tallies
for the proposition as shovm on the tally sheets,
.and also to examine the tally sheets carefully
and when the examination of the returns is com-
�leted, to call off the sametothe Hoard of .
rustees,cal.ling the Board's attention particularly
to any correction.
The Board of Trustees thereupon proceeded to canvass
the returns.
The canvassing having been completed and each
member of the Board of Trustees having separately
reported that he had comnuted the returns of the
said recall election held on the said 28th day of
June, 1927, it was moved by Trustee Chenoweth,
seconded by Trustee Ideier and unanimously carried
that the following entitled resolution:

VOTES CAST AT SAID ELECTION.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do
resolved as follows:
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held and
conducted in the City of Azusa on Tuesday, the 28th day of June,
1927, in accordance with Resolution.number 987 duly adopted and
approved.on the 20th day of bay, 1927 and in the manner required
by law;
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of said cit•; met in
the Council Chamber of said Board on Tuesday, the 5th day of July,
1927, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. Pit. to canvass the returns of said
election and dial then and there canvass the reutrns thereof, as a
result of which the Board finds that the number of votes cast for
the respective candidates and others and other matters required
by law to be as hereinafter• stated:

That said special municipal election was held and
conducted in the City of Azusa, California, on Tuesday, the 28th
day of June, 1927, at the time and in the manner required by law;

That the whole number of votes cast at said election in said
city was Five Iiundred and. Ninety (590);
That the number of votes cost for the recall. of Charles
W. Becic, incumbent Trustee of the City of Azusa and the votes
cast for the candidate tanning against said trustee and for
other persons to replace said trustee, was and are as follows:

elected trustee of the City of Azusa to fill the vacancy created
by the said recall of the said Charles W. Beck.

The City Clerk reported that this is the day, hour and place
when and whove any and all protests against the Bonds to be
issued for the improvement of Sunset Avenue under Resolution of-
Intention

The City Clerk further reported that no written protests of
objections had been filed with him up to the time set.
The President of the Board then asked if any persons
appearing before ssid Board, on motion by Trustee Meier,
seconded by Trustee Chenoweth a resolution entitled:
