MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 1927. 7:30 P.M 4 29 The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier, Durrell and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Chenoweth and City Attorney. After the diagram and assessment had been examined it was moved by Councilman Howard, seconded by ' Councilman Meier that the Diagram for the work done on the alleys in Blocks 28, 29, 36 and 37 in the City of Azusa, be accepted. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Chenoweth. The City Clerk r epnrted that he had given notice that a hearing would be held at 7:30 P. M. on September 12, 1927 relative to the assessment for the improvement of Angeleno Avenue, he also reported that is was not necessary to hold such hearing under the Vrooman Act. The Mayor then asked if any person desired to be heard upon the matter. No one appeared. Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Howard and unanimously carried that a resolution entitled: ' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING THE PROCEEDINGS AND CONFIRMING THE ASSESS- MENT AND DIAGRAM FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 28, 29, 36 AND 37 AS DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTEN- TION NO. 948 AND ORDERING THE STREET SUPERINTENDNENT TO DRAW THE WARRANT. be read. This resolution was then read. Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Howard that this resolu- tion be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1032. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilman: Hoard, Martin, Meier, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Chenovieth. On behalf of the American Legion, Geo. Scott asked permission of the City Council to hold a Carnival in October. Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by ' Councilman Howard that permission be granted, the carnival to be held under the supervision of the Police Department. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Chenoweth. Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Howard that the Council adjourn. Diagram for work done on the Alleys accepted. City Clerk reported that no hearing necessary for assessment for improvement on Angeleno Avenue. RESOLUTION NO. 1032 ADOPTED.
