The City Council of the City of
Azusa met in regular session at
the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Martin, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell,
And City Clerk. Absent: Council-
man : Howard.
The minutes of the last regular
meeting of September 19th and of
the adjourned meeting of September
' 26, 1927 were read and approved as
read.
Moved by Council man Martin, seconded
by Councilman Chenoweth and unanimously
carried that a resolution entitled:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA APPOINTING P. J. TSCHARNER, RESOLUTION NO. 1038
CITY ATTORNEY OF SAID CITY AND FIXING ADOPTED.

Councilman Martin that this resolution
be adopted as read and numbered

Carried by the following vote of the
Council:

' Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by
Councilman Meier that the bill of $p6.10 Moved and carried
in favor of the First Nation Bank be that a fee of $6.10
allowed. be allowed First
Carried by the following vote of the national Bank.

weth, Durrell. Noes: None. Absent:
Councilman: Howard.
Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded
by Councilman Chenoweth and unanimously
carried that a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING
FOR THE TRANSFER OF ONE THOUSAND AND
THIRTY-TWO AND TWENTY-FIVE ONE HUNDREDTHS RESOLUTION NO. 1039
DOLLARS ($1032.25) FROM THE GENERAL FUND ADOPTED.
TO THE CITY HALL REDEMPTION FUND.

that a resolution entitled:

MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD OCTOBER 3, 1927
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA ACCEPTING DEED TO LOT 36 AND ONE-HALF
OF VACATED ALLEY ADJOINING ON THE EAST OF SAID
LOT ALL IN BLOCK 30, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY AND THE
CITY CLERK THEREOF TO DRAW WARRANTS FOR THE
BALANCE OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID LOT.

The City Clerk present the following statement:

RESOLUTION NO. 1040
ADOPTED.
Gentlemen:
The City Clerk reports that this is the day, hour
and place for the hearing of protests for the work upon
Santa Fe and Dalton Avenues described in Resolution of In-
tention No. 1031.
The Clerk further reports that up to the hour of
7:30 P. M. no protests have received.

The Mayor then asked for protests from
those present, but no protestants appeared.
Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by
Councilman Meier and unanimously carried
that a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA ORDERING THE VdORK AND IMPROVEMENT
TO BE MADE UPON PORTIONS OF SANTA FE AND
DALTON AVENUES IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION NO. 1031, AND DETERMINING THAT
BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST
THEREOF.

Councilman Martin that this resolution be
adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1041
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Martin, Meier, Chenoweth,
Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Howard.
The City Engineer reported that the owners had
' taken over the work on Eleventh, Tenth and
Orange Streets and that A. L. Meier had become
agent for the owners who represent seventy-five
percent of the frontage to be assessed.
Moved by Councilman Chenoweth, seconded by
Councilman Martin that the following bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the
Treasury for the same.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilman: Martin, Meier, Chenoweth,
Durrell. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Howard.
