The City Council of the City of
Azusa met in regular session at
the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Howard, Martin, Meier, Chenoweth,
Durrell, City Attorney and City
Clerk.
The minutes of the last regular
meeting of October 3, 1927 were
' read and approved as read.
A communication was read from
Herbert G. Grace and, on motion
by Councilman Martin, seconded by
Councilman Meier and duly carried
was ordered placed on file.
A letter from R. E. Clapp request-
ing $86.50 in payment for a concrete
curvature forms loaned to the City in
1924 was read. The letter was, on
motion by Councilman Howard, sdconded
by Councilman Martin and duly carried
referred to the City Engineer for
investigation.
Moved by Councilman Chenoweth, second-
ed by Councilman Meier that the demand
of the First Nation!Bank for $10.00
for bringing down the title of Lots
in Block 30 be ordered paid.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier,
' Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded
by Councilman Meier that a check be
drawn for $61.90 in favor of the Auto-
mobile Club of Southern California
for the renewal of the insurance on
the Police Car.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier,
Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
A communication from the Chamber of
Commerce regarding the mailing of water
and Light Bills was read and, on motion
duly carried, was referred to the Board
as a committee of the whole.
A letter was read from the Chamber of
Commerce with regard to the City of Azusa
contributing to the deficit incurred in
the exhibit at the Pomona Fair. Moved by
Councilman Chenoweth, seconded by Council-
man Howard that the City pay $50.00 now
and $50.00 on November 15th because of the
advertising feature of the exhibit.

Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier,
Chenoweth, Durrell. Noes: None.

ING FOR THE TRANSFER OF FIFTEEN HUNDRED
($$1500.00) FROM THE MATER FUND AND
FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS 01500.00) FROM
THE LIGN_T FUND TO TIM GENERAL FUND.

THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM
DEED TO THE SOUTH TWENTY (20) FEET OF
LOT 7, BLOCK 37 IN THE CITY OF AZUSA.

Mr. Wright of the Home Telephone
Company then addressed the meeting
on the kind of telephones or telephone
system needed in the new City Hall.
Moved by Councilman Howard, seconded
by Councilman Chenoweth that the mat-
ter be referred to the Board of
Public Works.

A communication was then read from C. J.
Rambo and Company, Auditors. This
matter was laid over until the next
regular meeting for investigation.

on the matter of a new Santa Fe Depot.

Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by
Councilman Howard that the City Clerk
be instructed to advertise for bids for
the purchase of the following real estate City Clerk authorized to
all in the City of Azusa. advertise for sale certain
Lot 12, Block 5, reap of Azusa, M. R. 15-93. Property.
A certain tract of land known at the "old reservoir site" in said City
of Azusa further described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner
of Lot 7E4, as per map of Subdivision #2 Azusa Land and Water Company
M. R. 43-94, thence northerly 401 feet, thence easterly 132 feet, thence
south 36° 51' east 280.08 feet, thence south 176.88 feet to a point in
the north line of said Lot 761, thence along the north line of said Lot
761 westerly 299.97 feet to the point of beginning; containing 2.33 Acres
more or less.
The west 75 feet of the south 17.08 feet of lot 29, Block 29 and the west
75 feet of Lot 28, Block 29 and an easement for alley purposes of 10 feet
being the easterly 10 feet of the west 85 feet of Lots 28, 29 and 30 of
said Block 29, Map of Azusa, M. R. 15-93.
