Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Howard, Martin, Meier, Chenoweth,
Durrell, City Attorney and City Clerk.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of March 5, 1928 and the adjourned
meeting of March 12th and March 13, 1928
were read and approved as read.
The request of E. C. Higbee to place a
sign at -##739 Azusa Avenue was, on motion
by Councilman Howard, seconded by Council-
man Martin and duly carried, referred to
the Board of Public Works with power to
act.
The City Clerk rep;)rted that he received
five bids for the equipment of the new
City Jail:

by Councilman Martin that the bids be
referred to the Purchasing Committee
with power to act.

Council:

Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded by
Councilman Ideier and carried that a special
fund be constituted to be known as "Foothill.
Boulevard Improvement Fund", and all moneys
in the total sum of Fifty thousand (50,000.00)
Dollars, which was heretofore erdered by
resolution of the Board of Supervisors of
Los Angeles County to be contributed from
Good Roads Fund of said County to the City of
Azusa towards the expenses of the work and
improvement to be performed and made in the
matter of Acquisttion and Improvement District
No. 1 of the City of Azusa, shall be deposited in
said "Foothill Boulevard Improvement Fund".
Moved by Councilman Martin, seconded
by Councilman Meier and unanimously carried
that a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF TIS: CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA OVERRULING PROTESTS FOR
THE WORK TO BE DONE ON AZUSA AVENUE IN
SAID CITY AND DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION NO. 1068 OF SAID COUNCIL.

ing containers be left to the Purchasing
Committee.
