CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, MARCH 28, 1928. 7:30 P.M.
The City Council met in adjourned session
at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Martin, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell,
City Attorney and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman: Howard.
This Being the time fixed for opening bids
for work and improvements in the matter of
Acquisition and Improvement District No. 1
of the City of Azusa, the City Council in
open session publicly opened, examined and declared
all sealed bids received for said work and improve-
ment, and which bids and total amount of said bids
were as follows:

The Total price bid, as mentioned above, was
computed from the respective unit price con--
tained in the respective proposals on file in
the office of the City Clerk and Ex -officio
Clerk of this City Council.
Upon motion of Councilman Meier, seconded by
Councilman Chenoweth, and carried the bids
were referred to Paul E. Kressly, Superintendent
of Work heretofore appointed in the matter of
Acquisition and Improvement District No. 1 of
the City of Azusa, for checking and report.

Moved by Councilman Meier,seconded
by Councilman Chenoweth and unanimously
carried that a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA ACCEPTING DEED TO LOT FORTY-
THREE (43) AND ONE-HALF (1) VACATED ALLEY
ADJOINING SAID LOT ON THE 'NEST ALL IN i3LOCK
THIRTY (30), AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY AND THE CITY
CLERK THEREOF TO DRAW WARRANT FOR T"rE
' PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID LOTS.

Moved by Councilman Chenoweth, seconded
by Councilman Martin that this resolution
be adopted as read and numbered

Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Martin, Meier, Chenoweth,
Durrell: Noes: None. Absent: Councilman:
Howard.
Paul E. Kreslly, Superintendent of Work in
the matter of Acquisition and Improvement
District No. 1 of the City of Azusa, report-
ed that he had completed checking of the bids
submitted in the matter of Acquisition and
Improvement District No. 1 of the City of
Azusa, and that the bid submitted by George
H. Oswald was the lo,.,Jest bid of all bids
submitted for the performance of the work
and improvement in said Acquisition and
Improvement District No. 1.

' Thereupon Councilman martin introduced
the following resolution: "Resolution No.
1078, in the matter of Acquisition and
Improvement District No. 1 of the City of
Azusa - Resolution of Award of Contract",
which was passed andadopted by the follow-
ing vote, to -wit;
AYES: Councilmen: Martin, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilman: Howard.
Moved by Councilman Meier, seconded by
Councilman Chenoweth that the Council
adjourn.
