Present at roll call: Councilmen: Smith, Dilley, Howard and City Clerk. Absent: Councilmen: Durrell, Martin and City Attorney. The City Clerk read the notice call- ing the special meeting as follows: I hereby call a Special trieeti.ng of the City Council of the City of Azusa, to meet at the Council Chamber on Thursday, the 26th day of April., 1928 at the hour of 12:00 noon of said day. The object of this meeting is the consideration of the improvement of all tti,e streets in the City of Azusa and the appointment of a Park Superintendent. C. H. How; -..rd ayor. H. R. I hereby certify th8t I received the attached Notice of Special Meeting of the ity Council of the City of Azusa at 5 o'clock on Wednesday the 25th day of April, 1928 and that I served the same on the hereinafter named persons, who are members of the City Council of the City of Azusa at the time set after their respective names by personally delivering to and leaving with said persons a true copy of the attached Notice of Special Meeting. Kimbrell Motor Officer Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by Councilman Smith and unanimously carried that a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF TIDE' CITY COUNCIL OF TIL, CITY OF AZUSA, DECLARING THE OFFICE OF PARK SUPERINTENDENT VAC:.NT AND APPOINT- ING JAMES H. MORGAN TO THAT OFFICE AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION. be read. This resoluiton was then read. Moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Dilley that this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1089. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Smith, Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Durrell and Martin. RESOLUTION NO. 1089 ADOPTED. 279 280 c� MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD APRIL 26, 1928. 12:00 noon. Moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Dilley that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the improvement of San Gabriel and Angeleno Avenues from Eleventh Street to the Southerly termination of the same, with trees, two inch macadam pavement from the present pavement to the curb line and an eighteen inch gutter. The work to be done under the 1911 and 1915 Street Improvements Acts. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Smith, Dilley, Howard, Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Durrell, Martin. Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by Councilman Smith that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the improvement of Alameda and Dalton Avenues from Eleventh Street to the Southerly termination of the same, with trees, two inch macadam pavement from the present pavement to the curb line and an eighteen inch gutter. The work to be done under the 1911 Street Improvement Act and the 1915 Bond act. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Smith, Dill.ey. Howard. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Durrell, Martin.
