The City Council of the City of
Azusa met inu diourned session at
the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dill-ey, Howard,
City Clerk. Absent: City Attorney.
The City Clerk reported t.bat he had re-
ceived four (4) bids for a new pump at
the City well.
Moved by Councilman Snith, seconded by
Councilman Dilley and carried thnt the
bids be now opened, examined and publicly
declared:

The City Council of the City of Azusa
met in regular adiourned session at the
above time and place.

Later Councilman Stone entered. and took
his seat.
The Mayor introduced the matter of awnrlding
the contract for the puTrn to be purchased
for the City Well.

A communication was read from I.Irs W. G.Wheatley,
President of the Woman's Club with regard to
the Fire Insurance on the present Club House.

Moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by
Councilman Demmitt that, whereas, in the judge-
ment of the City Council the Azusa Woman's Club
House located on prone-ty owned by the City of
Azusa is worth at least 73500.00 allowing for
depreciation, that the Board of Public Viorks
be instructed to see to the insuring of the
same for $2500.00.

Light and Water Depart,nent, for a salary of

Councilman Dilley,seconded by Councilman

The request of I:Ir. hopper for permission to
place material. on the east 1.5 feet of Soldano
Avenue during the construction of the building
on D. B. White's lot was, on motion by Council-
man Dilley, seconded by Councilman Demmitt and
duly carried, granted.

until the regular meeting of the Council on
June 4, 1928.
