Presentat roll call: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard. City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meeting of August 6th and the adjourned meetings of August 13th and 14th were read and approved as read. ' Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by Councilman Smith that the certified check of the Heywood -Wakefield Co. be returned to them by the City Clerk. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by Councilman Demmitt that the itemized bill of C. L. Nichols be laid over until checked by the Finance Committee. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None. After a protest against the improvement of Enid Avenue had been presented to the Council it was moved by Councilman Stone, seconded by Councilman Dilley that Resolution No. 11.15 be read omitting the improvement of Enid Avenue and sidewalks on West Eleventh Street. The Resolution No. 1115 now reads as follows: ' A resolution of the City Council of the City of Azusa ordering the plans and specifications for the improvement of Alameda Avenue, San Gabriel Avenue, Santa Fe Avenue and other streets in the City of Azusa. Moved by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Stone that this resolu- tion be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. [116. -Carried by the following vote of the Council: A.es: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard. Noes: E'one. Absent- ],!one. Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by Councilman Stone that the City Engineer make application to the State Hoard of Health for permission to install a sewerage plant on Lot 6, foothill -Citrus Company Tract, City of '.zusa. Carried by the following vote of the Council.: Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by Councilman Stone that the Cite obtain an option for $1.00 for the purchase of Lot 6, Azusa Foothill -Citrus Co. bract, at not more than $1000.00 per acre. Carried by the following vote of the Council Ayes: Councilmen: Smith, Stone, Dilley, Howard. Noes: Councilmen: Demmitt. Absent None. Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by Councilman Smith that the City Engineer prepare plans and specifications and in conjuction with the City Attorney advertise for bids for a sprinkling system in the Municipal Park on Foothill Boulevard. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard. Noes: ::one. Absent: Done. Moved by Councilman Demmitt, seconded by Councilman Smith that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. A.bsent: None. RESOLUTION NO. 1116 ADOPTED.
