The City Council of the City of Azusa -et
in regular session at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen.: Store,
Smith, Dilley, Howard, City Attorney and
City Clerk. AbNent: Councilman: Demmitt.
The minutes of the regular meeting of
August 20, 1928 and of the Special. Meeting
of August 31st were read and approved as
read.
' A communication was read from the =zusa
Foothill Citrus Association with regard
to the purchase by the City of Azusa of
9.78 acres of Lot 6, and the same was
ordered placed on file.
After a letter had been read in which
Chas E. Barr addressed the Council, it
was moved by Councilman Smith, seconded
by Councilman Dilley and duly carried
that the same be placed on file.
Councilman Demmitt entered the meeting
and took his seat.
A request from Arthur Tolfe for a two
weeks vacation commencing September 16th
was presented. Moved by Councilman Smith
seconded by Councilman Stone that the re-
quest be granted with pay.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmeni Demmitt, Stone, Smith
Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None.
' Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by
Councilman Smith that the telephone of
D. C. (each be paid for by the City.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith,
Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: ?Ione.
A communication from the California League
of Municipalities was laid over until the
next meeting.
Moved by Councilman Der.'rmitt, seconded by
Councilman Smith that the report of the
Auditor for the fiscal year July 1, 1927
to June 30, 1928 be published in the paper,
the same to be paid for as legal printing.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith,
Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Communication from Azusa

on file.
Communication from Chas.
Barr ordered placed on
file.
Arthur Wolfe granted a
two weeks vacation with
pay.

Auditor's report for
fiscal year ordered
published in paper
Moved by Councilman Dernnitt, seconded by
Smith that the Firm of Thomas 8 Moore be Phomas Moore to he
