The Citv Council of the City of kzusa
met in regular session at the above
time and place.
In the absence of Mayor Howard, owing
to ill health, it was moved by Councilman
Demmitt, seconded by Councilman Dilley,
and duly carried that Councilman Thomas
Smith preside.
Present at roll call: Councilmen; Demmitt,
Stone, Smith Dilley, City Clerk:=sbsent:
Councilman: koward and City Attorney.
The City Attorney entered the meeting dur-
ing the reading of the minutes and took
his seat.
The request of Mae Hynes for a two weeks
vacation commencing October 8, 11'28 was,
on motion by Councilman Dilley, seconded
by Councilman Store granted with pay.
A communication from the Foothill Citrus
=association was read and ordered placed
on file.
Moved by Councilman Demmitt, seconded by
Councilman Dilley that the offer of the
Pacific Electric Railroad Company regard-
ing a strip of land on Crescent Drive be
accepted, the City Attorney to draw up
the necessary papers.

Dilley, Noes: None. Absent: Councilman:
Howard.
Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by
Councilman Stone that the City Engineer
embody in the Eleventh Street proceedings
the recommendations of the Planning Com-
mission as set forth in their communication
of September 14, 192P.
After a letter from the City Clerk of Chico
had been read regarding the Gaso'ine Tax
Law, it was move(? by Councilman Dilley
seconded by Councilman Stone that the 6ity
Clerk inform Ia?r. Morrison that the City
Council is interested in havin7 the
Gasoline Tax Law amended.
A communication from the Colorado Diver
Association was read; whereupon it was
moved by Councilman Demmitt, seconded
by Councilman Stone that the City At-
torney attend this meeting, his expenses
to be paid by the City.

received seven bids for a Sprinkling
System in the City Park. Bids for Sprinkler
