The C ity Council of the City of
Azusa met in regular session at the
above ti -e and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Ho,, -;a -d,
City Attorney and City Clerk.
The minutes of the last regular meeting
of September 17th and the adjourned
meeting of September 24, 1928 :dere reed
and approved as read.
Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded by
Councilman Smith that CharlF;s Wi. 3eck,
J. C. Muehe and C. VI. Carr be selected as
an a dvisory committee to be seated at the
Council Table and to consult with the
Council on matter pertaining_ to the Sewer
and 'Rater 3ond Election.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilment: Stoke, Sm th, Dilley,
Howard. Noes: Council -an: Demmitt, Absent:
None.
The meeting then adjourned until nine
o'clock that the Coiincllmen might attend
theaob8a�ng of the new Woman's Club House,
Councilman Demmitt stated that he could
not audit the bills until the City At-
torney had filed with the City Clerk his
opinion as to the transfer of funds. from '':Vater
and Light Dept. to General Fund, ma:^e at the last

that this report be written out by the
City Attorney and placed on file for
future reference.
Moved by Councilman Demmitt, seconded by
Councilman Smith and duly carried tart
the Councilmen attend the annual meet' -ng
of the League of California. Idunicipalities
in a body; the date to be settled later.
The matter of the extermination of the
Argentine Ant was referred to Councilman
T. A. Smith; he to work out the best =jay
to get rid of the same at the least ex
pense to the City and to report back at
the next meeting.
Moved by Councilman Stone, seconded by

be allowed 883.02, this being the dif-
ference bete=een the first allowance of
the State Compensation and his salary
during the period when he was unable
to work.

Council of the City of Azusa, duly adnrted at the meeting of
said Council on the 17th day of September, 1928, and thereafter
duly approved, calling on the City Engineer for an estimate of
the cost of extending and improving the water system of the said
City of Azusa, you are advised that I have made a preliminary
sketch of such extension and improvement and that I estimate the
cost of extending and improving the water ;^corks system of said
City at One Hundred and 'Thirty Thousand Dollars ($lw.000.00) .
