The City Council of the City of
Azusa met in adjourned session at
the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Demmitt, Stone, Smith, Dilley, Howard,
City Attorney and City Clerk.
Moved by Councilman Dilley, seconded
by Councilman Smith that the City Clerk
draw a warrant payable to the Automobile
Club of Southern Ualifornia to cover the
insurance on the Dodge car.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Smith,
Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None.
7:30 P.M.
City Clerk instructed
to draw warrant payable
to Automobile Club for
insurance on Dodge Car.
Moved by Councilmen Dilley, seconded by
Stone and carried that an ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, NOW THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, IN THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, CALLING A
SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY OF AUZSA, ORDINANCE NO.28(
CALIFORNIA, ON THE 23RD DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1928, AND ADOPTED.
SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE SAID CITY
FIRST: THE PROPOSITION OF INCURRING A BONDED DEBT
IN THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND (100,000.00)
DOLLARS, FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE TO -WIT: THE
ACQUISITION OF THE LAND NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND ERECTION OF A MAIN OUTFALL SEWER, TOGETHER
WITH A SEWAGE TR ATMENT AND DISPOSAL PLANT WITHIN
THE CITY OF AZUSA, TOGETHER WITH THE CONSTRUCTI)N
ON SAID PROPERTY OF SUCH MAIN OUTFALL SEWER, SEWAGE TREATMENT
AND DISPOSAL PLANT AND ALL NECESSARY APPURTENANCES THERETO,
BY THE SAID CITY OF AZUSA; SECOND: THE PROPOSITION OF IN-
CURRING A BONDED DEBT IN THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED THIRTY
THOUSAND ($1309000.00) DOLLARS FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE
TO -WIT: THE COMPLETION AND CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONS TO
THE WATERWORKS OF SAID CITY, TO -WIT: THE ACQUISITIONS OF
THE LAND NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RESERVOIR,
THE CONSTRUCTION THEREON OF A RESERVOIR, THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF WELLS, WATER DISTRIBUTING MAINS AND FIRE
HYDRANTS, TOGETHER WITH ALL APPURTENANCES TO THE SAID 41,'ORK,
BY THE SAID CITY OF AZUSA: PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
BONDS THEREFOR AND FOR THE LEVY OF A TAX FOR THE PAYMENT
OF SAID BONDS; DESIGNATING THE ELECTION PRECINCTS AND POL-
LING PLACES AND APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICERS FOR SAID
ELECTION.

be adopted as read and numbered

Councilman Demmitt that a warrant for $30.00
be drawn by the City Clerk payable to the
Azusa Public Library Board to reimburse said
Board for extra janitor remuneration.

Dilley, Howard. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Dilley seconded by Council-
man Smith that a warrant be drawn by the City
Clerk for $25.00 to pay for the deed from the
Pacific Electric Railway Company of a certain
strip of land abuttin� the Padific Electric
right-of-way between ngeleno Avenue and Orange
Avenue in the City of Azusa.
