HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - April 15, 1929 - CCCITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. APRIL 15, 1929. 7:30 P.M. The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Demmitt. The minutes of the last regular meeting of April lst and of the adjourned meeting of April 5, 1929 were read ' and approved as read. The request of M. G. Kreinman for a refund on 1928-1.929 taxes on property located in Tract 8507, City of Azusa was ordered placed on file. M. G. Krein.man 's request placed on file. The report from Los Angeles County L. A. County Health Dept. Health Department for work done during; reported on work done during month of March was submitted and P,'arcr, ordered placed on file. The City Clerk announced that she had received two (2) bids for building Bids. and constructing walks and curbs on the City Hall grounds of the City of Azusa. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Muehe that the bids be now opened, examined and publicly declared. Bid from Robert !41. Heflin and Charles C. Collins. 1. 7925 sq. ft. Curb Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace that the Valley Construction Company, being the lower regular bidder, be awarded the contract. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Demmitt. ' Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace that the City Clerk be instructed to return certified check to Robert Keflin and Charles Collins. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Prluehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Demnitt. TvI. 23 Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace and duly carried that the application for. amendment of Paragraph 4 in agreement between City of Azusa and Paramount TIotors Corporation be referred to the City Attorney and Superintendent'of- Light and Dilater. Moved by Councilman Tduehe, seconded by Councilman Johnson that Mr. Lenehan be granted permission to erect a sign on the corner of ' Pasadena Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Demmi t t . Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace that the matter of increasing the Cities water supply during the surm!er months be referred to the Council as a Committe of the !Whole, with power to act. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: :ohnsbn, Mace, T+luehe, Bleier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Demmitt. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Muehe that the following bills be allowed and ' warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the same.
