HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - May 6, 1929 - CCCITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. MAY 6, 1929 Present at roll call: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Detamitt. The minutes of the last regular meeting of April 15th, the adjourned meeting of April 16th, and the adjourned meeting of April 22,1929 were read and approved as read. An application for Life Guard at swimming pool by MacDonald Bonner was read and ordered placed on. file. An application for Assistant Life Guard at swimming pool by Keith Thompson was read and ordered placed on file. The City Clerk presented monthly report for work done by County Health Department which pas also ordered placed on file. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Ir?ace that the City Clerk be authorized to accept policy written by J. O. Durrell,on Kimball Truck_; used by Street Department, and to cancel policy on same written by Automobile Club of Southern California. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent Councilman Demmi.tt. A communication from Allen McComb, Secretary of Monterey Park Chamber of Commerce was read, inviting the members of the City Council to attend meeting for purpose of forming Metropolitan Seer District 167. This communication was ordered placed on file. A communication from Dr. J. H. Brooks asking permission to remove trees was read. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Johnson and unanimously carried that this matter be referred to the Street Superintendent with power to act. 7:30 P. P.R.
