Present at roll call: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Demmitt. The minutes of the last regular meeting of June 3, 1929 were read and approved as read. ' The report of the Los Angeles County Health Department for work accomplished L. A. County Health Report during month of May was presented and ordered placed on file. ordered placed on file. G Moved by Councilman Pdace, seconded by Councilman Muehe that this resignation be accepted and placed on file. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Demmitt. Smith's resignation filed. The application of Alene V. Hendley was Application referred to read. Moved by Councilman Muehe, Audit and Finance Committee. seconded by Councilman Mace that same be referred to the Audit and Finance Committee with power to act. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by ' Councilman Johnson and unanimously carried that a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPOINTING JAMES ROGERS, SR. AS ASSISTANT PARK SUPERINTENDENT OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION. be read. This resolution was then read. The application from the City of Azusa to the State Board of Health for permission to use water from wells purchased from Contract Water Company was read. Moved by Councilmen Mace, seconded by Councilman Muehe and unanimously carried that a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA MAKING APPLICATION TO THE STATE BOARD OF HEALTH FOR A PERMIT TO OPERATE AND USE CERTAIN WELLS.
