Present at roll call: Councilmen: Demmitt, Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meet- ing of July 1, 1929 were readand ap- proved as read. ' A communication from the Azusa Chamber of Commerce was read. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Councilman Muehe that the Superinten- dent of Light and Water be instructed to remove the banners on Azusa. Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. Carried by the following vote of the Coundil: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman: Demmitt not voting. A communication from the Azusa Chamber of Commerce requesting a donation from the City of Azusa to place an exhibit at the Pomona Fair was read. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Mace that this matter be defer- red for thirty days. Carried by the folloz,ing vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier. Absent: None. Councilman: Demmitt not voting. A communication from the Azusa Chamber of Commerce together with a detailed report on the present water distribution system was read. Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman Mace that this matter be re- ferred to the Council as a Committee of the Whole to report at the adjourned meet- ing of the City Council to be held July 22, 1929. A Grant Deed between the Cit,; of Azusa and the Azusa Foothill -Citrus Company was presented. Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Council- man Johnson that same be accepted. Moved by Councilman Iduehe, secon-led by Council- man Mace that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered dr2.vm upon the Treasury for the same.
