The City Council of the City of
Azusa met in adjourned session at
the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen:
Johnson, Mace, Muehe, I+Ieier, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman: De_mitt.

Mr. J. 0. McCart's request to bring
a carnival into the City was presented.
Moved by Councilman T:.Iace, seconded -jy
' Councilman Johnson that this matter be
referred to Councilman Muehe with power
to act.
Moved by Councilman Macd seconded by
Councilman Johnson that the City Clerk
be instructed to write H. A. Mason, Secre-
tary of the League of California Munici-
palities answering all questions contained
in questionaire concerning municipal in-
surance and attach to and make a part of
this letter a report setting forth the fact
that the City of Azusa have nine volunteer
fireman and that the same answer fire calls
in privately owned vehicles.
Moved by Councilman Mace, seconded by Council-
man Johnson and unanimously carried that a
resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA ORDERING A CERTAIN DEED RECORDED.

This resolution was then read.
Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by
Councilman Mace twat this resolution be
' adopted as read and numbered Resolution
No. 1151.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe,
Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman:
Demmitt.
Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by
Councilman Mace and unanimously carried
that an ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA DESIGNATIOIN THE NAMES BY
WHICH CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS SHALL BE
KNOWN AND CALLED.

This ordinance was then read for the
first time.
The matter of moving the Boulevard Cafe
from the present location to a lot sit-
uated on Sar. Cabriel Avenue between Sixth
and Seventh Streets, was referred to the
Board of Public Works with power to act.

Councilman Irtace and unanimously carried
that a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK
TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE OF CERTAIN
REAL ESTATE II SAID CITY.

MINUTES OF TIIE REGULAR ADJOLRYED SESSION HELD JULY 22, 1929
Ayes: Councilmen: Joiinsnn, Mace, hriuehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Demmitt.
Moved by Councilman Iduehe, seconded by
Councilman Mace that.the City Engineer
be instructed to prepare plans and speci-
fications for the improvement of the
following streets:
The installation of ornamental lighting
system on San Gabriel and. Alameda Avenues
from their northerly termination, south
to Second Street, where lights do not al-
ready exist.
To pave and construct sidewalks where same
do not already exist, on Eleventh Street
from the west side of Soldano Avenue to
the east side of Vernon Avenue.
Theextension of ornamental lighting system
on Dalton Avenue from Eleventh Street on
the north to Second. Street on the south.
To pave and construct sidpwal_1s and curbs
and install ornamental lighting system on
Sixth Street, where same do not already
exist, from Certitos to P;ionts. Vista Avenue.
To construct sidewalks and curbs on Orange
Avenue between Fifth and Sixth Streets.
Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by
Councilman Johnson that the City Engineer
be instructed to make a neer man of the City
of Azusa.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Iduehe, Meier.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Demmitt.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by
' Councilman Mace that the following bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the
Treasury for the same.
