Present at roll call: Councilmen: Johnson, PIuehe, P,Ieier, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilmen: Demmitt, Mace. The minutes of the last regular meeting of August 5th and t?:e adjourned meeting of August 12, 1929 were read and approved as read. The monthly report of the Los Angeles Councy Health Department for work ac- complished in this territory, during the month of July,was presented. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Johnson that same be placed on file. A communication from Chuck Summers was read. Moved by Councilman Muehe and duly car- ried that same be referred to the Street Superintendent. The applications of Arthur Wolfe, Street Superintendent, James Rogers, Sr. Asst. Park Superintendent and Steve Saunders, Full Time Fireman for a two weeks vacation was read. Moved by Councilman Muehe, seconded by Councilman Johnson that same be granted with pay. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Johnson, Pduehe, Meier. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Demmitt and Mace. Councilman Mace entered the meeting and took his seat. The City Clerk announced that she had received two bids for Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance on all City owned motor vehicles as well as those privately owned, but used,on City Business, VOSBURG BROTITRS, INC. 7:30 P . iri . The annual report on the City of Azusa made by the Firm of Thomas & Moore, was presented and ordered placed on file. Moved by Councilman Muehe and unanimously carried that a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA INCREASING THE SALARY OR CO^'PENSATION OF THE DEPUTY REVENUE COL- LECTOR OF THE CITY OF AZUSA. be read.
