Z 6'3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING BOULEVARD RIGHT OF WAY ON FOOTHILL BOULEVARD AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF ALAMEDA, SAN GABRIEL AND LEMON AVENUES AND ON AZUSA AVENUE AT THE IN- TERSECTION OF FIFTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do ordain as follows: Section 1. Vehicles travelling in a lawful manner on and along Foothill Boulevard in the City of Azusa shall have the right of way over vehicles approaching from Alameda, San Gabriel and Lemon Avenues. . It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle approaching said Foothill Boulevard from the said Alameda or San Gabriel or Lemon Avenues to fail to bring said vehicle to a complete stop at the limit line which the City Marshal is hereby authorized and required to in- dicate by signs or marks placed at the intersections of said avenues on the northerly and southerly lines respec- tively of said Foothill Boulevard. Section 2. Vehicles travelling in a lawful man- ner on and along Azusa Avenue in the City of Azusa shall have the right of way over vehicles approaching from Fifth Street. It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle approaching said Azusa Avenue from the said Fifth Street to fail to bring said vehicle to a complete stop at the limit line which the City Marshal is hereby authorized and required to indicate by signs or marks placed at -.the intersection of said street on the easterly and westerly ines respectively of said Azusa Avenue. Section 3. Any person violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis- demeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment in jail for a period not exceeding ninety (901 days or by both such fine or imprisonment. Section 4. This ordinance is declared to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public safety, health and welfare of the City of Azusa and is declared an urgency measure within the meaning of Subdivision "b", Sec- tion l.of an Act entitled "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR DIRECT LEGISLATION BY CITIES AND TOSNNS INCLUDING INITIATIVE AND RE- FERENDUM", approved January 2nd, 1912, and acts amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto, and shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and publication. Section 5, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinanee.and shall cause the same to be pub- - 1 - lished in one regular issue in the ly newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Azusa. 1r "Pomotropio", a week - established, printed and I hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was duly passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa at a meeting held 2,)- �Je�- by the follows g vote of the Board: AYES: c�iq«eP NOES: ABSENT: / Approved this '9 / 4.1� gzc; k'� City clerk Of e CITY o zusa. day of Pres dent Of a Board o Trus- tees of the City of Azusa. - 2 - ORDINANCE NO.20'2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING THE LAYING OUT, OPENING AND EXTEND- ING OF PARAMOUNT AVENUE FOR A UNIFORM WIDTH OF SIXTY (60) FEET FROM ITS PRESENT EASTERLY TERMINATION IN PIEDMONT AVENUE TO THE l`7ESTERLY LINE OF AZUSA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, IN THE WiNER CONTEMPLATED BY ORDI- NANCE NO. 258 OF SAID CITY. The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the public interest and conven- ience require, and it is hereby found and determined that the public interest and necessity require and the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa hereby orders, the following improvement to be made, to�wit: That PARAMOUNT AVENUE a public street in the City of Azusa, California, be laid out, opened and extended for a uniform width of sixty (60) feet from its present easterly termination in Piedmont Ave- nue to the westerly line of Azusa Avenue in the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, California, in the manner con- templated by Ordinance No. 258 of said city duly passed and approved on the 7th day of September, 1926, to which said ordinance reference is hereby made for all particulars re- garding said improvement. SECTION 2. That the City Attorney of the said City of Azusa is hereby directed to bring an action in the name of the City of Azusa in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of Los Angeles, for the condemnation of the property described in the ordinance hereinabove referred to and necessary and convenient to be taken for the improvement therein and in Section 1 hereof mentioned, against all of the owners and claimants of said property or any part thereof. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees of said city and shall cause the same to be published in one regular issue in the "Pomotropic", a weekly newspaper of general circulation established, printed and published in the City of Azusa.
