AN ORDINANCE OF TEE BOARD OF TRUSTERB OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO OFDER THE LAYING OUT,
OPENING AND RXTRNDING OF PARAMOUNT AVENUE FOR A UNIFORM °'TDTH
OF SIXTY (60) PEET FROM ITS PRESENT EASTERLY TIMMINATION IN
PIEDMONT AVP,I+IUE TO 'THE TiESTi1?LY LINE OF AZUSA AVENUE IN TILE
CITY of AZUSA, CALIFORNIA.
The Board of mrustoes of the City of Azusa do ordain
as follows:
Section 2. That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Azusa to order the following improvement to
be made, to -wit:
That PARAMOUNT AVENUE
a public street in and. of the City of Azusa, California, be
laid out, opened and extended for a uniform width of sixty (60)
feet from the presont easterly termination of said Paramount
Avenue in Piedmont Avenue, as shown on map of Tract 8507, re-
corded in Book 102 at Pages 78 and 79 of Haps, records of too
Angeles County, California, eastar.ly to the wetsterly line of
Azusa Avenue in said city.
Section 2, That the lend noeescary and convenient
to be taken for the improvement described in Section 1 heroof
Is situate in the City of Azusa, County of Loa Angeles, State
of California, and in particularly described as follows, to -
wit,
A strip of land sixty (60) foot wide extending thirty
(30) foot on each side of the following described center line
to -wit:
Beginning at the 00athuest corner of.lot 29 of
Subdivision No. 2, Azusa Land and Slater Co,, as reeord-
ed in Book 439 Page 940 Miscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County; thence easterly along the south line
of acid Lot 299 1320 feet to the southeast corner of
said Lot 29; thence easterly along the south line of
Lot 47 of said Subdivision No, E, 1320 feet to the south-
east corner of said Lot 47; thence easterly along the
south line of Lot 50 of said Subdivision NO* 2, 1235 feet
to the beginning of a curve tangent to said south line
concave to -the northwest and ,having a radius of 200 foot;
thence along said curve 87.80 feet to the beginning of
a curve concave to the southeast, tangent to above mOn-
tioned curve and huvi a radius of 200 foot, the point
of revarsed curvature being the center line of South
Vernon Avenue; thence along said. curve concave to the
southeast 87,80 feet; thence easterly 2515 feet along
a line tangent to said curve and parallel to and ten feet
south of the lot lines of tote 12 and 4 of Block "A",
Lots 12 and. 4 of Block "B", respectively, of Subdivision.
Bo. 1 Aguas lard and water Co., to a point in the
westerly line of Azusa Avenue, which point Is 670 feet
southerly of Lot 25, Block "B" of said Subdivision No, l
Azusa Land and nater Co. of Los Angeles County, California,
as the came appears in map recorded in Book 16, Page 17,

map and plan 1037 on file in the office of the City Engineer of
the said City of Azusa, which may and plan shows the right of
way, the lands to be taken or damaged and the district to be
benefited by said improvoment and to be sososeod to pay the ox-
ponse thereof, said may and pian having been duly approved and
adopted by the.Board of Trustees of said city on the 18th day
of January, '1926.
Section 3o That the said improvement is of more than
ordinary or local bene -fit and that the boundaries of the district
in the City of Azuae•.. County of 'Los Angeles, State of California,
to be 'benefited by said improvemort and to be assessed to pay
the expense thereof and to be, known as "ASUSA CITY A MSSUENT

Beginning at the southwest corner of lot 29 of
Subdivision Ifo, 2 AcuBa Land and Rater Co., as re-
corded in Book 43, Page 94, 11isoollonsous Records of
100 Angeles County; thence northerly 710 toot along
the westerly line of said. Lot E9; thence easterly
4000 toot to the northwest corner of Lot 11 of Block
"A" of Subdivision Ifo. 1 Azusa Land and rater Co,,
as recorded in Book 16, Page 3,7, Uisooilaneous Records
of Los Angeles County; thence easterly 510 feet along
the northerly line of Lot 11 of said Block "A"; thence
easterly 550 fast along the northerly line of Lot 3
of said block "A"; thence easterly 770 feet along the
northerly line of Lot It of Block "B" of said Subdi-
vision Ifo. 1; thence easterly 730 feet along the
northerly line of Lot 3 of said Block "B"; thence Booth-
erly 330 feet elong.the easterly line of said Lot 3;
thence southerly 830 toot along the easterly line of
Lot 4 of said Block "B" of said Subdivision Bo, 1 Azusa
Land. and Cuter Company, thence southerly 402.00 feet
along the easterly line of lot 1.of Azusa Poothill
Citrus Co. Tract as recorded in Book 5, Page 30 of
haps, Records of Los Angeles County; thence 117.99 feet
along a curve concave to the northwest and having a
radius of 363,06 test, .said curve being the northwesterly
boundary line of the Los tangelos County Flood Control
Right of flay through said Lot 1; thence South 35019' 30"

West 227,44 feet; thence westerly 63.6 feet to the south-

a point in the westerly line of Lot 28 of said Subdivision

feet southerly from the northwesterly oorner of said Lot
28; thence northerly along .said westerly line.611.8
feet to the point of beginning; excepting therefrom so
much of said land which may be included within the lines
of any public street or alley; the basis of bearings
used in this description being Azusa Avenue north,
For further particulars as to said assessment dis-
trict reference is hereby made to map and.plan 1007 on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City of Azusa,
which map and plan was duly approved and adopted by the Board
of Trustees of said city on the 18th day of January, 1926.

on file in the office of the said City Engineer of said city,

improvement shall be taken under the "Street Opening Act of
1903" approved Barth 24th, 1903, end all sots amendatory there -
Of and supplementary thereto.
Section G. That it is determined and. ordained that
improvement bonds may isssxe to represent the aseecoment for
said improvement in comformity to and under the provisions of
and in accordance with the requirements of an Act of the Legis-
lature of the State of California, entitled "AN ACT PROYIDINO
FOR TSS ISSUANCE OF 1UPROVPJiTHT BONDS TO RZMESM CfiftTAlil
SPECIAL ASSESSUEUTS FOR PUBLIC IitMOYR ENTS, AND PROVIDING
FOR TEE SPRECT AND rNFOROF.AEIS!' Op 3AOA BOUDS", approved April
27th, 19116 and all acts amendatory thereof and supplementary
thereto.
Section 7. That the street Superintendent of the
City of Azusa shall post and publish noticenof the passage
of this ordinance and of said improvamont in the form, time
and manner required by said street .Opening Act of 39039and
the "Pomotropic". a weekly newspaper of general circulation,
established, printed, published and circulated in the said City
of Azusa, to hereby designated as the newspaper in which notice
of the passage of thin ordinance and of esid. improvement shall
be published.
Section to The City Clerk shall certify to the
Passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be.pub.
liohed in one regular issue in the "Pomotrople", a weekly
newspaper of general circulation established, printed and
published in the City of Aansa.
