HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 266ORDINANCE NO. 2 G 6' AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 261, ENTITLED "Aid ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR, FIXING HIS COMPENSATION, DEFINING HIS DUTIES, ESTABLISHING FIRE LIMITS IN SAID CITY AND PROVIDING REGULATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION AND REPAIR OF BUILDINGS IN SAID CITY, PRESCRIB- ING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE AND RE- PEALING ALL ORDINkNCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", DULY PASSED AND APPROVED ON 'THE 16TH DAY OF NOVEIdBER, 1926. The Board of Trustees of the CitV of Azusa do ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 261, entitl- ed AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR, FIXING HIS COMPENSATION, DEFINING HIS DUTIES, ESTABLISHING FIRE LIMITS IN SAID CITY AND PROVIDING REGULATION'S FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION AND REPAIR OF BUILDINGS IN SAID CITY, PRESCRIB- ING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE AND RE- PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERENITH", duly passed and approved on the 15th day of November, 1926, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section_ 4. The fees to be paid to the Building Inspector for the issuance of any permit mentioned in Section 4 hereof shall be as follows: Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than 425.00 and does not exceed x100.00 A1.25 Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than t-100.00 and does rot exceed 'w260.00 $1.75 Where the cost of the- proposed work is not less than x,250.00 and does not exceed $500.00 12.25 Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than $500.00 and does not exceed "1000.00 %3.50 Where the cost of the proposed work is rot less than y1000.00 and does not exceed v2000.00 p6.50 6ahere the cost of the proposed work is not less than 62000.00 and does not exceed X3000.00 11?10.00 Where the cost of the proposed work is rot less than $3000.00 and does not exceed X4500.00 t-12.50 Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than $4500.00 and does not exceed •"6000.00 $15.00 Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than $6000.00 and does not exceed 08000.00 020.00 Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than 18000.00 and does not exceed X10,000.00 1,h5.00 - 1 - For each additional thereof of the cost Y10,000.00 and not For each additional thereof of the cost 630,000.00 and not For each additional thereof of the cost X50,000.00 (°'1000.00 or fraction Of such work, above exceeding X30,000.00 50¢ X1000.00 or fraction of such work above exceeding "50,000.00 40V °'1000.00 or fraction of such work above 25g "The above mentioned fees include, and shall be in lieu of, fees for any other work for which a permit is required by any other ordinance of the City of Azusa. "In the case of moving any building without enter- ing upon any public street or alley, the cost of mov- ing added to the cost of any repairs, additions or alterations to be made to such building after the mov- ing thereof, shall constitute the total cost for the purposes of determining the fee to be paid for the permit, according to the above schedule. "If any person, firm or corporation_ shall com- merce the erection., construction, alteration, repair, moving or demolition of any building, without a per- mit first having been obtained from the Building In- spector, as required by this Ordinance, notice in writ- ing to obtain such permit shall be served upon such person, firm or corporation by the Building Inspector, or shall be posted upon such building, and if such person, firm or corporation shall fail, for a period of 24 hours after service or posting of such notice, to obtain_ such permit, such person, firm or corpora- tion shall be required, upon_ subsequently taking out such permit to pay for the same, double the amount of the fee hereinbefore provided for such permit; pro- vided, however, that the failure of the Building In- spector to serve such notice shall not relieve any person, firm or corporation, from any liability im- posed by or provided in this Ordinance." Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be pub- lished in one regular issue in the "Pomotropic", a weekly newspaper of general circulation established., printed and published in the City of Azusa. ORDINANCE 110. 2 6�_,r- AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 263, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING BOULEVARD RIGHT OF WAY ON FOOTHILL BOULEVARD AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF ALAMEDA, SAN GABRIEL AND LE1.1011 AVE- NUES AND ON AZUSA AVENUE AT THE INTERSECTION OF FIFTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE", DULY PASSED ON THE 20TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1926, AND DULY APPROVED, AND PROVIDING FOR BOULEVARD RIGHT OF WAY ON'AND ALONG THE WHOLE OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF AZUSA. The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do or- dain as follows: Section 1. Section I of Ordinance No. 263, entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING BOULEVARD RIGHT OF WAY ON FOOTHILL BOULEVARD AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF AIJMEDA, SAN GABRIEL AND TEMON AVE- NUES AI4D ON AZUSA AVENUE AT THE INTERSECTION OF FIFTH STREET IN THIS CITY OF AZUSA, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE", duly passed on the 20th day of. December, 1926, and duly approved, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section. 1. Vehicles travelling in a lawful manner on and along Foothill Boulevard in the City of Azusa shall have the right of Wray over vehicles approaching and/or entering said Foothill Boulevard from all intersecting streets and avenues in the City of Azusa. "It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle approaching and/or entering said Foothill Boulevard from any of said intersecting streets or avenues in the City of Azusa to fail to bring said vehicle to a complete stop at the limit line which the City Marshal is hereby authorized and required to indicate by signs or marks placed at the inter- sections of said streets and avenues on the northerly and southerly lines respectively of said Foothill Boulevard." Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be pub- lished in one regular issue in the "Pomotropic", a weekly newspaper of general circulation established, printed and published in the City of Azusa.
