AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
AMENDING SECTION FOUR OF ORDINANCE NO. 261, ENTITLED: "AN OR-
DINANCE OF -THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY -OF AZUSA ESTABLISH
ING THE OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR, FIXING HIS COMPENSATION,
DEFINING HIS DUTIES, ESTABLISHING FIRE LIMITS IN SAID CITY AND
PROVIDING REGUTATIONS FOR THE 00 NSTRUCTION, ALTERATION AND RE-
PAIR OF BUILDINGS IN SAID CITY, AND PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY FOR
THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT THEREWITH"; DULY PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 15TH DAY
OF NOVEMBER01926, AS AMENDED BY SECTION ONE OF ORDINANCE NO. 26
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, ENTITLED:: i1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION FOUR OF ORDINANC
NO. 261;" WHICH ORDINANCE NO. 266 WAS DULY PASSED AND APPROVES
ON THE 21st DAY OF MARCH, 1927.
The City Council of the City of Azusa, do ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Section 4 of Ordinance No. 261 entitled:
"An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the-¢¢ity of Azusa
establishing the office of Building Inspector,Pixing his com-
pensation, defining his duties, establishing fire limits, in
said.City, and providing regulations for the construction, al-
teration and repair of buildings in said City, prescribing the
penalty for the violation of -said Ordinance, and repealing all
Ordinances in conflict therewith", duly passed and approved on
the 15th day of November, 1926, as amended by Ordinance No. 266
of the City of Azusa, duly passed and approved on the 21st day
of March, 1927, is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Section 4: The fees to be paid to the building in-
spector for the issuance of any permit mentioned in Section 4

hereof, shall be as follows:

Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than
$25.00 and does not exceed $100.00, ..........

If any person, firm or corporation, shall commence the
12 erection, construction,.alteration, repair, moving or demolition
of any building without a permit first having been obtained from
13 the Building Inspector, as required by this ordinance, notice
in writing to obtain such permit shall be served upon such per -
14 son, firm or corporation by the Building Inspectorp or shall be
posted upon such building, and if such person, firm or corpora-
16 tion shall fails for a period of 24 hours after service or post-
ing of such notice, to obtain such permit, such person, firm or
16 corporation shall be gequired, upon subsequently taking out
such permit to pay for the same, double the amount of the fee
17 hereinbefore provided for such permit; provided, however, that
the failure of the Building Inspector to serve such notice.shal]
16 not relieve any person, firm or corporation from any.liability
imposed by or provided in this Ordinance.
19 Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be pub -
20 lished in one regular issue in3 Herald, a weekly newspaper
21 of general circulation establishecil, printed and published in
the City of Azusa.
22 I hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was duly
23 passed by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular
meeting held fevember 1 J_ , 1930, by the following vote of the

Where the cost of the proposed work is not less than
$10,000.00 and does not exceed $25,000.00..........$ 8.00

The above mentioned fees include, and shall be in lieu
of, fees for any other work for which a permit is required by

any other ordinance of the City of Azusa.

In the case of moving any building without entering
upon any public street or alley, the cost of moving added to the

cost of any repairs, additions or alterations to be made to suci
building after the moving thereof, shall constitute the total
10
cost for the purposes of determining the fee to be paid for the
permit, according to the above schedule.
