ORDINANCE NO. 307
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING
THE RATES FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE FOR SAID CITY FOR; -
1. Domestic & Commercial Lighting Rate:
2. Combined Lighting. Heating and Cooking
Rate; and
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 248 OF SAID CITY AND REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY IN
CONFLICT HT'REWITH.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does
ordain as follows: -
Section 1. The monthly rates to be charged and
collected by the City of Azusa for electricity supplied
from its electric system to customers shall be as
follows: -
SCHEDULE NO. 1.
DOMESTIC & COMMERCIAL M=HTING RATE: -
For the first 19 kilowatt hours or less consumed
in any one month, $1.00.
For more than 19 kilowatt hours consumed in any
one month as follows: -
For the first 250 Kilowatt hours per meter
per month 5.30 per kilowatt hour.
For the next 750 kilowatt hours per meter
per month 5.0� per kilowatt hour.
For the next 1,000 kilowatt hours per meter
per month 4.50 per kilowatt hour.
For the next 3,000 kilowatt hours per meter
per month 3.5V per kilowatt hour..
For all over 5,000 kilowatt hours per meter
per month, 3.00 per kilowatt hour.
SCHEDULE NO. 2
HEATING AND COOKING AND/OR WATER HEATING SERVICE.
A. For all consumption of electric energy in residences
and apartments through one meter where an electric
range, electric water heater or an electric air heater
of one kilowatt or more capacity is installed and used
for cooking and',heating purposes, the following rates
shall apply:-

For the first 150 kilowatt hours per meter
per month 3.0¢d per kilowatt hour.
For all energy in excess of 150 kilowatt
hours per peter per month 2.0� per kilowatt
hour.
Be Combination lighting with hestingj, cooking and/or"
water heating service and/or electric air heater of
one kilowatt or more capacity applicable to residences,
flats or apartments of seven rooms or less: -
For the first 25 kilowatt hours per meter per
month 5.3� per kilowatt hour.
For the next 125 kilowatt hours per meter per
month 3.0� per kilowatt hour.
For all over 150 kilowatt hours per meter per
month 2.0¢ per kilowatt hour.
C. Combination lighting with heating, cooking and/or
water heating service applicable to residencesp flats,
or apartments of eight rooms or over: -
For the first 50 kilowatt hours per meter per
month 5.3¢ per kilowatt hour.
For the next 150 kilowatt hours per meter per
month 3.0� per kilowatt hour.
Por all over 200 kilowatt hours per meter per
month 2.0� per kilowatt hour.
MINIMUM CHARGE: -
A. Heating. cooking and conation servicep excluding
instantaneous water heating service: -
First 7 K.N. or less $3.00 per month.
All over 7 Y.?R. %.50 per K.W. per month.
Be Instantaneous water heating service: -
75¢ per kilowatt per month but not less than
$3.00 per month.
C. Combination cooking,, heating and instantaneous
water heating service: -
First 7 K.W. of heating and/or cooking appli-
ances (excluding instantaneous water heater)
45¢ per Y.N. per month.
All over 7 K.N. of heating and/or cooking ap;�-
pliances (excluding instantaneous water heater)
50/ per K6)9P. per month.
Plus 759� per K.N. of water heater capacity per
month.
In no case shall the total minimum charge be
less than $3.00 per month.

1 SPECIAL CONDITIONS: -
2 A. Rates B and C apply only where consumer in-
stalls and uses cooking, heating or water heating
3 appliances other than lamp socket devices of at least
4 2 K.W. capacity.
B. Bathrooms, halls and cellars are not classified as
5 rooms.
6 C. Connected load taken as 60% of the nameplate rat-
ing of all heating and cooking apparatus permanently
7 connected and which may be connected at any one time,
computed to the nearest 110 of a kilowatt but in no
8 case less than 2 K.W.

D. Single
phase power
service (3 H.P. or less) may
be combined
under this
schedule, in which case each

For all energy in excess of 20,000 kilowatt
hours per month, 1.4� per kilowatt hour.
The above rates shall apply for energy
furnished at 110,220, and 440 volts.
Minimum monthly charge for installation
of 5 horse power or less, $2.00 per month. For
installations of over 5 horse power a minimum charge
of 50 cents per horse power per month shall be made.
For energy furnished at 2200 Volts, for
installation of 50 horse power or over, the above
rates shall apply, less one-half of one mill ($0.0005)
per kilowatt hour, for all energy used.
Section 2. That not more than one residence,
apartment, store or business house shell be on one meter.
Section 3. That if the amount of any bill for
'61 ectric energy shall not be an exact multiple of
five cents, such bill shall be reduced or increased
to the nearest multiple of five cents as the case
may be.
Section 4. That Ordinance #248 and all other
ordinances or parts or ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance, shall be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be published
once in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed and published and
circulated in the said City of Azusa, and this
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication.
The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 30
was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Azusa on the !9 u'' day
